i think it depends a bit on the stylization, brushes, and thickness you're trying to convey. you should consider the texture and look of the hair on the character's head and the rest of their body--can you reuse those same shapes and lines for their pubic hair? are you working in a style where a realistic buildup of lineart and texture works, or would a solid shape of hair look better? things to consider when deciding how to draw pubes. i use a rough brush, so i tend to line it because the texture looks Right for pubes. but in art where i use a smoother brush and a more graphic style, i'm more likely to use a bush shape rather than lines.. [i-line image of four different ways of drawing pubes] i made this also, it's by no means exhaustive of all the ways you can convey A Bush but it's probably helpful for thinking about technique i realized after making it you probably meant like, hair direction and growth patterns and honestly, it's the wild west down there. it probably isn't gonna grow Up and will mostly be drawn downward and out toward the thighs, but where it starts and ends and how thick it is depends on the person and how much you want to draw it. when i draw the poofy bush, i tend to just put it on the front and none down below. if i'm detailing it with lineart, depending on how hairy the character is in general, i may or may not go all the way back to the butthole. if you're looking for any more specific advice about it feel free to ask
