Again, my deepest condolences.
In February 1777, General George Washington ordered the first mass immunization campaign in American history by mandating that his troops be inoculated against smallpox. He protected the Continental Army from an epidemic that was deadlier than British forces.
249 years later, we have this idiot.

Alan Dershowitz: I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party turned 18
He's decided to spend more time handing out gold statues to Donald Trump
How will they fill the shoes of someone who made iPhone boring and bribed our dictator president?
Tim Cook donated $1M to Trump’s inauguration.
He fawned over Trump and gifted him a 24-karat gold plaque (as Apple lobbied for tariff exemptions).
Apple donated to Trump’s White House ballroom.
And it removed ICE tracking apps from its stores following a demand from the DOJ.
Remember this.

Wondering what it must be like to live in a compassionate country that prioritizes its hungry citizens over buying more bombs and cutting the taxes of billionaires . . .
I can't understand how negotiations with Iran could possibly have failed with such a stellar lineup of Americans🙄
They're not even trying, folks.
Someone said, this world is so boring; we don’t have mermaids, werewolves, vampires or other mystical creatures.
Someone replied and said, yall can’t even handle people with different skin colors
🫢 I was gagged
by contrast i think obama was a far better campaigner than president. not that i think he was a bad president but he was also too cautious in office. legislatively biden got much more done than obama.
i think harris was a fine vp and she would have been a fine president. i dont think she was a good campaigner. too cautious and led about by advisers. its what killed her 2020 campaign and contributed to her loss in 2024.

From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought. To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears. To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool. To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen. To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies. To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.
Octavia E. Butler, 1998:
My hot take about ballpark food is that teams should spend more time making their hot dogs better and less time with this. If I want braised beef short rib, I sure as hell ain't ordering it at Wrigley Field.
I have no sympathy for any of the umps in any of the 217 of these pieces that have been written. If umpires hadn't insisted on repeatedly calling pitches two inches outside the zone "strikes" for decades -- and ejecting players who noticed -- we might not be here. They brought this on themselves.
Heart disease in younger people has been slowly rising since 2010, but suddenly ticked upward sharply after 2020. Gee I wonder what could've caused that? Anything around since then that affects the heart?

The Dodgers mourn the loss of Davey Lopes, who passed away today at age 80. Lopes was a member of the team’s record-setting infield of the 1970s and 1980s and one of the finest basestealers in MLB history. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

No big deal just a solar eclipse as seen from the moon streamed to us here on Earth by astronauts who are farther away from their home planet than any human has ever been
Y'all there is a woman and a black man circling the moon and NASA's mission control+ science teams are so diverse and people are nerding out about science and exploration this is all a gigantic middle finger to the stupid and hate and grotesque ghouls running our country
While that beast looks damn tasty, I shudder to think what price Petco Park charges for that monstrosity

This entire "presidency" is like being tied to a chair and watching a toddler play with a loaded pistol.
I saw this a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about it.
It seems more true every day.
Star Trek First Contact scene, and if you haven't watched this one you should cancel all plans and view immejietly. (Also has a Mark S from Severance cameo) Ok, it's nighttime and we're close in on 2 dudes, closest is Zefram Cochrane, and just behind him is William T. Riker, famous tromboner. Both are in civilian clothes, Riker a leather jacket, and Zefram in a bomber type coat with the white fluffy wooly stuffing around the collar. Zefram is also wearing a weird black hat that is sort of like a bandana in form and function, but instead of fabric it's bedazzled leather. He's speaking, and looks kind of dumbfounded or stumped. Closed caption reads, "You're all....astronauts .. on some kind of Star Trek" Happy First Contact Day 🖖🏼
