Did you know that basically every animal gets the zoomies?
it's beautiful that there exists a universal behavior, where the only way they can express the sheer happiness that comes from being gifted with 4 strong legs and allowed to walk God's green earth, is to absolutely haul ass like a maniac.

Afternoon Encounters π΄
I attended a Presbyterian sleepaway camp for 6 summers and worked there for 2 (very chill place, didn't intensely shove religion down our throats) and the only Bible story I've retained is this, and I don't even remember what it was supposed to illustrate in that summer's curriculum π
My favorite thing about the Bible is that the only story in the Bible about Jesus as a child is about the time his parents lost him for 3 days, they literally left town without him and didn't even notice for a full day (they traveled in a caravan and thought he was somewhere among the travelers)
A) we don't own anything now
B) the stuff we don't own doesn't work and can be taken away at a moments notice
Got a text at 7am today telling me to work remote bc I guess my boss got to the office absurdly early like he always does and it was still way too hot bc the temps didn't go down much overnight π« Today is hopefully going to be the last very very hot day and then we're going to start cooling off
I've been getting SO many ads on YouTube for "sell your stuff to get extra money!" sites like eBay, Depop, etc.
And it's not cooling down much at night so in the morning it's still pretty warm from the day before so we already start at a loss, adding to the misery π
It's not quite as bad as the time the office AC was broken for 3 days during the hottest week of the whole summer, but it's pretty close!
when you love blorbo but blorbo is owned by one of the most evil conglomerates on earth but also the stuff made for blorbo is made by real people putting love and work into it but also they're probably underpaid but also they probably still wanna keep their jobs π
The property managers at work haven't flipped the building into AC mode yet bc it's just gonna go back to the 60s next week, but we work on the top floor and heat rises so we have been fucking miserable all week and today at like 2:30 my boss was finally like "go home, it's too hot" π«
This that meat that you get out of the wall in Castlevania.
I know Metlife is close to NY and foreign viewers are more likely to recognize the name of NY, but it is NJ's so NJ should come first. Just like how the Jets and the Giants should actually be NJ football teams and not NY bc their home is the Metlife!
Today in "nobody respects NJ," for the World Cup they've renamed Metlife Stadium to "New York New Jersey Stadium" which I get using a regional name since FIFA makes them unbrand the stadium, but at least put the state where the stadium is actually located first! The way they've done it is so rude π
"Late Evening" - my oil painting
Oh and I realized I should note that TOW2 isn't a direct sequel to TOW1. I think you could get by just by reading a summary of 1 to get background on the factions, bc 2 is in a completely different star system with all different characters, except for one CEO.
TOW could also be a good series for aro or ace people as there is no romance, so you don't have to deal with party members making unwanted advances or feeling that anyone you don't romance has a more lackluster story (which I have noticed in games before)
I like The Outer Worlds games and I think the sequel does make improvements. I think the writing is often the strongest part, it makes me laugh a lot and all of the companions feel more fleshed out this time instead of just having a couple who are more focused on π
A propaganda poster from the Protectorate faction in the video game The Outer Worlds 2. The text reads "Her last words were 'It's not worthy of concern.' Report anything suspicious no matter how small!" In the center of the poster is a picture of a woman laying on her side facing away, her limbs arranged similarly to the much memed death pose of Peter Griffin from Family Guy.
A screenshot from Family Guy of Peter Griffin in his famous death pose. He is lying on his side facing away, his limbs twisted over and around his body.
Picked The Outer Worlds 2 back up this weekend and still having fun with it! My one complaint is 30 is too low of a lvl cap, I'm about to hit it and if I had to guess I'm maybe only 2/3 or 3/4 done. I like the party members and I keep finding things that crack me up, like this Family Guy reference π

Sometimes life finds little ways to humble you. I've been shaving my legs for 20+ years so I assumed I had a handle on it. Tonight I was rushing and using apparently a duller razor and managed to gouge my ankle BADLY, it's like an inch long and I had to use 2 bandaids to cover it ππ«
Regulate corporations, not people. Start by regulating the use of algorithms to deliver content, donβt allow ads/paid targeting anyone under 16, platform culpability for the spread of misinformation on, require limits on engagement-based user experience design, etc.

Handmade and hand painted delftware inspired ceramic guillotine, a bit of beauty for the billionaires to witness before we slice their heads
A photo of a white lighthouse with a black top standing among green trees and palm plants during sunset. The sky features strikingly layered, wavy clouds with shades of blue and yellow.
One of the most surreal skies I have ever witnessed, as vibrantly blue undulatus asperatus clouds rolled over the St. Mark's Lighthouse at sunset to create this dreamy scene. #Photography
"Time for the birth of terror. Me." is incredible in any context.
if america was a decent country we'd fund the arts and we wouldnt be beholden to corporate overlords who somehow became the deciders of what worthwhile art is
