I’m going to be a broken record here but Rochester NY is a great place to live! We have a great community of queers here!
Also: if you like seasons, we’ve already had FIVE just since Thanksgiving!!

“Thank you, Mrs. Albertson. You have been a tremendous help with this case. I do have one last question, though:

“Mushy mushy mushy…”

Me: What’s the weirdest lyric you’ve ever misheard? Like, you know it’s wrong, but you can’t figure out what it really is?
You: Oh! Interesting question! I’d say…
Me: Haha yeah here’s mine:
The Creedence Clearwater Revival song “Sweet Hitchiker?” It STILL sounds like “Sweet Jascha Heifetz” to me.

Also this could be a banger of a Halloween costume for you.
Wander through the party, wearing bunch of clothes from a bunch of different eras, say things like “well thank the Head of Bo that President Karenna Gore…” then pull something gadgety out of your pocket, and say “oops. Sorry. Spoilers!”

I started watching it because it was the Wachowskis. I didn’t know anything else about it. When it came out, I was about 6 months into my social transition, and in many ways, it really helped me.
And the way they gently but insistently fought back against transphobia in all of its forms was amazing

Why is there a giant cowboy behind you?

Or is he a reg’lar cowpoke, and you’re a teeny tiny trans?

This is also very cool in part because it looks you’re tossing the downy into the air.

I discovered my name (first & last, together) backstage during a rehearsal in 1981. I was pissed, because I knew no one would ever know it, because I was so deeply closeted that I would never tell anyone who I really was.
Just another thing I was sure about that I was also completely wrong about.

Two new ferns, just out of the ground, not yet uncoiled, but will reddish-brown leaves dripping off them, in front of a fence covered with old ivy.

The trees are lit by a streetlight, which accentuates the green algae covering the bark of the tree, in contrast with the fresh pinkish blossoms of the young plum branches in the foreground.

Fun fact: before its current usage, the word “transgender” referred to a specific type of cable adapter.

I’ve spent the last 3 hours drinking coffee, amusing my cat & editing photos on my porch while I tried to plan my day, then I realized what I want to do today is drink coffee, amuse my cat, & edit photos.

I’ve always liked “Ani” as a name. It’s elegant on the page and off the tongue. I pronounce it with a more cosmopolitan tone than the “regular” spelling: AH-nee instead of the more nasal ANN-ee.

And a happy #caturday from Contessa Sonja Grismonelda Isidora Purrington-Smölket von Füfensbaugh, who consistently identifies as Foof the Cat.

I’ve also done standup comedy (I was selected as the funniest man in Rochester NY in ‘92 & no the irony is not lost on me).
I think I would be perfect for the Cathy Morningside evil “gatekeeper”-style role played by Candice Bergen in the film.
But my best quality is my modesty.

If you’re serious about this I want to help. I have a BFA in acting (Ithaca College, ‘81), MAC In Journalism (UNC, ‘84) 30+ years of video production experience, I’ve written & performed 5 shows, including one I just finished off-Broadway, plus I performed in the Vagina Monologues.

Me, six minutes apart. The only difference is
BB cream
A lil bit of concealer
A lil bit of brightener
A lil bit of blush
Eyeliner
Mascara
Lipstick
Eyeglasses
And I turned my body 45 degrees, my neck 45 more, tilted my head, raised the lens above my eye line, and raised one eyebrow.

You spend your time on this site spewing the same paranoid “white cisgender, heterosexual Christian men are the real victims here” propaganda that every other mediocre white dude spreads.
“Sane, lucid & well-adjusted” ain’t on your side of this screen, child.
