The Bony One is learning that his blog may be his own worst enemy. A new Skelly blog, for my subscribers, just uploaded. ko-fi.com/post/ILL-HAV...

Dr. Paul Armstrong is up to science again. The guy is scientifically incorrigible. Free to read on my Ko-fi page. ko-fi.com/post/DOC-ARM...
Maybe Sabrina Scharf's best role: “F.O.B. Honolulu” a twisty 2-part HAWAII FIVE-0 as one of several international criminals double-crossing each other over valuable counterfeit plates. Scharf is magnetic, quite feline, in her decidedly cold-blooded role. An actress certainly worthy of more attention
I’ve written a short short story which is so short that it’s very short. On my Ko-fi page, available for all to see, or read, or both, not just subscribers. If you like it please consider leaving a tip.

Thanks folks who've supported my Ko-fi page. For subscribers, just uploaded new blog by Dr. Paul Armstrong “If a Safe Falls Do We Hear It?” where he conducts experiment involving a heavy safe, a high window, block & tackle and a passing clown.

Couple weeks left in Rondo voting. Please consider Cinema Bizarro for best non-fiction book. Had fun with my chapters: I MARRIED MONSTER FROM OUTER SPACE, UNKNOWN TERROR, NIGHT OF THE BLOOD BEAST, Weird Westerns 30s & Weird Westerns 40s. Vote by email. Don't have to do every category. rondoaward.com
Talk about opposite ends of the quality spectrum... Eesh!
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra’s first blog is up.
Heaven help us, I hope this wasn’t a mistake…
Now up on my Ko-fi page but available for all to read.

Ugh.
I didn't even know there was one.
A favorite movie. Never gets old. De Niro, Lewis, Bernhard = perfect. Plus Shelley Hack (seen here) is spot-on. Instead of corporate caricature, comes off as patient, reasonable, encouraging. Robert De Niro doesn’t get nearly the praise he deserves. Nor do Scorsese direction & Paul Zimmerman script.
Much thanks.
I now have a Ko-fi page to help me do what I do (wait, what do I do?). Folks can leave tip (cost of a coffee) or subscribe (coffee a month). Blogs from Dr. Paul + loudmouth skeleton, art, script excerpts, absurd ravings. Some is available to everybody, subscribers full access. ko-fi.com/larryblamire
Thank you!
Dedicated to women warriors everywhere… “Down From the Clouds,” acrylic on 16” X 20” canvas panel. Put a lot of work into this one but pleased with the way it came out.
Alan Bates, James Bolam, Brian Cox as 3 brothers home for family get-together in IN CELEBRATION (1975), riveting adaptation of David Storey’s profoundly affecting play, w/ director Lindsay Anderson bringing his stage cast to this American Film Theatre production. It’s great that we have this.
My art is now in the online IX Gallery. ixgallery.com/artwork/
In a foul mood this morning over the state of things, decided instead to post something with at least the potential of bringing a smile.
Wishing a happy Passover to all my Jewish friends.
Latest Steam Wars painting “Hailing the Rig” acrylic on 16x20 canvas. I was invited to display this & others in IX Gallery, 1st online gallery dedicated to what it refers to as “contemporary imaginative realism.” They’re a division of IX Art Show. Happy to be in such fine company. ixgallery.com
Getting nice messages about my Rondo-nominated 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD article in Castle of Frankenstein 41. One goal identifying uncredited crew members which I don't believe had been done before. But main thrust was analyzing the dynamics of the major action sequence that make it so exhilarating.
Eleanor Parker in CAGED (1950) part of extraordinary female ensemble including Agnes Moorhead, Betty Garde, Jan Sterling, Hope Emerson. Unflinching script by Virginia Kellogg, Bernard Schoenfeld, fine direction by John Cromwell. Bravo @eddiemuller.bsky.social having this on Noir Alley. A favorite.
My latest commission in what seems a popular series, “Meet the New Dinosaurs #5” acrylic on 12” X 16” canvas. For the paleontologically-minded starting left: Suchaloudus, Narromorasaur, Shortinekosaurus and Hornucopiodon. I have fun w/ these & quite honestly hope folks keep commissioning them.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone take something out of their pocket in quite this manner.
Rondo Award time! Psyched that my “The 88 Edits of Sinbad” is up for Best Article + CINEMA BIZARRO which I wrote for, Best Non-Fiction Book. I was also in bare•bones (up for Best Magazine) and some Tom Weaver (he's up for Best Commentator) commentaries. Voting ends 5/1

EDIT: His birthday is actually May 20th, not March 20th. My bad. Consider this a warmup.
Happy birthday to the great Anthony Zerbe who turns 90 today! I had the pleasure of chatting with him a few weeks ago and told him when I was a kid his meltdown in climax of the WILD WILD WEST episode “Night of the Legion of Death” was the 1st time I was truly aware of what great acting looked like.
