Reflection:
Making low-poly 3D art is new but I'm learning and enjoying it a lot. Not much struggles on the technical side for me. However, our team lacks communication. I also noticed the uneven task distribution in the team. One teammate barely did anything while the other did too much.

Since not much 2D content is needed, I started help with 3D modeling, making beach umbrellas and a trash can. I modeled the low-poly assets in Blender and textured using the color palette method learned in class.

I did some character sketches for Zilong to refer to when she's doing character modeling. Also did some UI design in photoshop: in-game quest panel, Settings & Credits page background, and new title & menu buttons

Then I started design the main menu. We decided that the cover art will not be an image but an in-game camera. So I only needed to design UI for starting screen. p1 was the version I designed, but was later turned down and we ended up doing p2 that Tian suggested.

My first task was to design a logo for our team. At first I brainstormed and called it "Fry Studio" but then later changed to "Fryday Studio" at Zilong's suggestion. Below are the two iterations. The second one is the logo we ended up using.

Seagulls Being Seagulls DevLog
Sprint 01
On week 2 of Spring 2026, we as FryDay Studio started designing and making a multiplayer simulation game called Seagulls Being Seagulls. I'm doing 2D art, UI, and 3D modeling in this team of 4. Here's a thread documenting all of my work till 4/13.
