About 85% of my cancer patients rely on Medicaid to cover their treatment. Without it, they wouldn’t be able to afford any care. Same with 95% of my sickle cell patients. Medicaid is a necessary service

What I’ve been thinking. Musk and all the other oligarchs could combine forces and solve all the US, and maybe even some of the world’s problems, and still have money leftover to waste on pointless things

PSA for pediatricians - part of the 1 yo well-child check should be counseling on minimizing milk intake. The number of kids I see per week with iron deficiency anemia who are drinking bottles of milk per day is astounding

Watching Prasad and @drglauco.bsky.social battle it out on X is why I will never end up fully leaving that site. Someone’s really gunning for a position with RFK/Oz 🙄. Using humor to combat ignorance and ego is the way to go 👏🏻

I was definitely taught in med school that hemophilia was only in males, but female “carriers” can have symptomatic bleeding too that needs treatment

Are medical schools still teaching that only males can get hemophilia? #MedSky

When a patient living with #SickleCell disease hits the ER with pain, they should get pain meds IMMEDIATELY. A hefty first dose of pain meds can result in better outcomes.

They do not need your narrative, suspicion or discrimination.

They need your help. Be a champion for them.
