THE WILD ROBOT stomped into theaters 1 year ago! A kid recently told me they flew thru the book in about 90 minutes, less than the runtime of the movie. So if u had time to watch the movie I hope you can find time to read the book that inspired it!

Peter Brown rebooted 'The Wild Robot' for the preschool set. His underlying message remains Peter Brown stripped down his original 'Wild Robot' story for beginning readers, keeping the underlying message about a man-made device that learns how to care for others.

But the other members of Shadow’s pack didn’t drive him out. They just stopped following him as he went to more extreme lengths to get Roz. He basically abandons his pack to get revenge. All of the animal characters are anthropomorphized to varying degrees.
