Presentation completed and I've officially survived presenting my first full research paper at #ECTEL2025!

Today's keynote at #ECTEL2025 by Dragan Gasevic was a really interesting discussion about how we view the difference between learning and performance in the current educational landscape with AI.
Some really interesting perspectives and discussions of impact on this important topic

A really interesting keynote today from @sharplem.bsky.social on the history of technology and artificial intelligence in education.
Especially interesting takeaways about how the building of these systems needs to be a collaboration between engineers, computer scientists and educators!

Just realised it's the 3rd day and I haven't posted about currently being at the 2025 European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning!
Today is the first day of the main conference hosted in Durham after two days of pre-conference in Newcastle!
In my most recent blog post, I have decided to talk about user centered design and participatory research. The post talks about what these concepts are in terms of research and design and why I use them in my methods and their importance in research.

Notice of my paper getting accepted!
Well, after it getting delayed a few days, I'm very pleased to say my paper got accepted to EC-TEL 2025!
There is something impressive about just how badly I cope with having to wait for things. I should be finding out if a paper got accepted today, but I have no idea what time I'll get the results, and my brain is unhappy about this.
So, it has been a bit since I last did a blog post and I thought I would also start posting them here (when I actually do them), but here is the (slightly overdue) post talking about the second year of my PhD!
