There Goes the Neighborhood Even though it is only June the temperature has soared to an unrelenting 90+ degrees.

My new piece is a short, not at all sweet essay about the MAGA 'Murica vibe. #booksky

Such a haul! We're visiting Seattle and I've raided a couple of used book stores, as I do. Can you believe I got all of these for like $29 (plus tax, of course)? I've read a couple of these already, but they're due for a re-read (and to recommend to my kiddos). Score!

Scenes from our dystopia:
This weekend I went to a writer's conference. One of the sessions was on writing dystopian fiction. One of the presenters couldn't come because she is from another country and was concerned about being detained at the border due to her visa type. The irony is not lost.

The video from the town hall in Idaho is exactly what we’ve warned everyone about. Imagine being a grown man, so threatened by our rights that you openly mock and have her dragged out, violently while everyone stays seated. Oh, wait. They elected one just like him. Is this the great part yet?

A quarter of US shoppers have dumped favorite stores over political stances A new poll also found that four in 10 Americans have shifted spending to align with moral views in recent months

It's small, but this is something I can do (and am doing). We are not powerless. Money talks, and in this case, it's loud and clear. #resist

Your outrage is more than justified, real world problems notwithstanding. I don't know how it was possible to make a book as shocking and lascivious as My Sweet Audrina somehow BORING in the sequel, but Neiderman miraculously managed it.
