Don’t spend money on the Mets. Spend money on bacon egg and cheese sandwiches.

This Mets team is brutal.
Only one of the fastest guys in the majors as the ghost runner for the Cubs. Nothing to worry about there.
Of course Conforto ties the game.
Yes, he’s a backup - but is someone giving Luis Torrens a multi-year deal when he hits free agency after this season?
Guy runs across the mound, Peterson plunks the next batter.
Mendoza is going to get back the hotel to find out his room key has been deactivated and his luggage is already in a cab.
Mets are down two going into the 9th.
They have the offense to come back, right?
Right?
Meep?
Last year, three managers were fired in May.
Peralta in Spring Training: “Sign me to a long term contract.”
Peralta on April 18th: “107 days until the trade deadline.”
Welp, that wasted a good start from Peralta.
Sam is never around when needed.
It’s still early, but 20 games in and 6 games under .500 is the start of “you can’t make the playoffs in April, but you can miss them.”
I get that Soto is out, but this is bad, even for the Mets. Only worse starts 1962 and 1964.
No hitter alert going into the 9th in the Cleveland / Baltimore game
McLean was deGrom’d…
But hey, we got one run. That’s progress.
If you inject bleach into the Strait of Hormuz, it will open on its own.
I need to stop turning the Mets on.
I turned the game on and the Mets were up 1-0. It was quickly 7-1.
I tuned back in and the Mets caught up to 7-6. It was 11-6 moments later.
But it has lettuce. Healthy greens. So it’s good for you.
I don’t care if he TACO’d.
He fucking terrorized the world today.
He is no better than Bin Laden.
You can’t “end a civilization” if it’s not a war and certainly won’t get you into heaven (if that’s what you believe).
One madman can’t threaten to kill 90 million people in a military excursion, unapproved by congress.
This is all so fucking stupid.
Peace prize, my ass.
So even though Taylor wore 15 with the Brewers, he was a 4th outfielder - why reissue the number you’d expect to be soon retiring? And yes, I know that before Taylor it was worn by the Big Danny Mendick.
And as recent history has shown, Cohen is all about honoring the team’s greats… so it should have been pretty much pretty obvious that someone going into Cooperstown as a Met would have their number retired…
Totally nitpicky and meaningless in the grand scheme of things… but when Tyrone Taylor was traded before the 2024 season, didn’t anyone think ahead that “maybe” number 15 would be soon retired? Beltran wasn’t elected for the class of 2024 or 2025, but he was clearly on the path for 2026…
Since y’all were last at work, we went from panic city to pace for 97 wins.
