It's important to note here that while this dog looks stressed, it was a positive interaction overall. The otters were very interested, and the pup reciprocated until they got overwhelmed. Their human was very good about moving along and giving them a break right after I took these photos.

Spent the day glazing stuff 🦉

Photo of my sketch of Sue the T. rex's skeleton in front of the Sue mount at The Field Museum in Chicago. I was sitting on the floor for a few hours working on this and it was so annoying because they have an informative light show that plays on the skeleton periodically and I wouldn't be able to make out details during this 5-6 minute sequence. Also my legs kept falling asleep! Someone was taking photos of me working on it, I wonder if those ever made it online. Anyways, its a really awesome museum

I met Sue the T. rex in real life 🥹

I kinda fucked up the placement on the page, this was much harder to draw than expected. I kept getting sweaty too which I only realized the next day when I woke up with a fever was probably me actually being sick and not knowing it. I should go back and draw this again when I am not sick and do a better job!!!

I was drawing in the museum until they closed(thats why it looks empty above) so I had to finish it up at the airport. I've wanted to see Sue in person since I was a kid so this was a dream come true.

Yesterday @reified-systems.itch.io pointed out that Basil's face from this Fawlty Towers VHS collection is nearly exactly The Expression from Disco Elysium, and my mind is blown.

I genuinely think this may be the original inspiration! So many details match up
