Respectfully Brent, I find this post problematic for a couple of reasons:
- This reads as an endorsement of OpenClaw, which is a nightmare from a security/privacy perspective.
- There are ethical (and perhaps legal?) issues with AI impersonating real people without their consent.
Just my 2c

That’s absolutely gorgeous, I had no idea you were that much into LEGO, Will! On a related note, I vibecoded this app over the weekend: brickup.dk - a collaborative LEGO set inventory tracker. My wife and kid loved it - maybe you’ll find it useful as well 😊
Oooh this looks super interesting!
#TabularEditor 3.21.0 out now. More Diagram View improvements, TMDL script exports, new Model.MetadataSource API (same as in TE2), DAX Optimizer support for RLS and Calc Items, and more. Check out the release blog: tabulareditor.com/blog/tabular...

Give 👏 us 👏 an 👏 API 👏 now!
Last I heard it’s still unreleased. Apparently, FedEx Europe and FedEx US don’t really communicate…
Well, anything’s possible until your stuff gets stuck in customs…
I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps this slide deck might help? It's titled "Make the case for Tabular Editor 3" - we will publish more information about it soon.

The addition of 𝙼𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚕.𝙼𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚊𝚂𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚌𝚎 will also be coming to TE3 soon. It may seem insignificant, but it opens the door to some pretty awesome C# scripting tricks, which I'll talk about on my #FabCon session next week, azuredataconf.com#!/session/Ul...
Oh, what's this? A new release of #TabularEditor 2? That's right friends, you are not forgotten! A few minor improvements and of course an AS client library update (which was certainly overdue):

Not surprising but it’s a damn shame, since this gives European automakers an excuse to keep sitting on their hands…
Only thing worse than bullshit is 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 bullshit which LLMs are fantastic at producing.
Live in ~45 minutes!
Excited to have a live chat with Reid Havens and Steve Campbell later today, on Tabular Editor in the world of AI, Fabric, TMDL, and Semantic Link! My colleague David will help answer questions in the chat during the stream.
Join us at 5:30 PM UTC.

Dialog boxes in custom visuals are broken in Power BI Desktop February 2025.
After a few days of pain and too many customer complaints, I wrote a post to explain the workaround to all affected users.

I want to see Satya and other US tech leaders come out and say that they unequivocally condemn this direction their country is taking. Sure, established companies won’t be able to boycott Microsoft, Google, or AWS any time soon, but European startups are certainly going to steer clear.
Take your pick:
u24.gov.ua
war.ukraine.ua/donate/
standforukraine.com
crisisrelief.un.org/t/ukraine
(…and many others)
It was physically painful to watch. The only silver lining is that this farce seems to strengthen European solidarity and support for Ukraine, which is needed now more than ever.
> It’s very hard to draw any conclusions, advise guidance, or come up with usage scenarios
Would you even go so far as to say…
…mistakes are possible?
😎

Some of us become grumpy old men sooner than others. I salute @brento.bsky.social for playing along for such a long time. Eventually, though, even the mighty must fall. Welcome to the club 😁
@data-goblins.com wrote this fantastic article a while ago data-goblins.com/power-bi/wha... which encapsulates EXACTLY the sentiment of the gentleman you spoke to. When even MVPs start to feel overwhelmed by all the new stuff, maybe it's time to take it down a notch, and prioritize QoL for a change?
It’ll have the exact same limitations as external tools, for exactly the same reasons.
Nah, I prefer to spend my time developing features that actually make your code *better*.
