Depends on what you use illustrator for. Lots of great improvements (brushes, shape builder, textures, etc.) For what I do Figma is more than capable (especially with plugins)!

Thanks! Yeah it's super simple but comes in handy when you need it.

My first @raycast.com extension is now live!

Pkg Swap lets you quickly convert and paste npm commands into pnpm, bun, or yarn. ๐Ÿ“ฆ ๐Ÿ”€

Super useful for when docs only show npm commands!
(obviously had to add some sounds to the video too)

After taking the past 6 months to hit reset after leaving Figma, I'm now starting to look for my next role.

I'm interested in community roles within the dev or design space (think product communities), but also open to other opportunities. If you know of anything, I'd love to connect! ๐Ÿ–ค

The whole family is sick so thinking of passing the time by making some more of these sound design sketches.

Reply with a short animation and I'll try and throw something together for you! ๐Ÿ”Š

The pull to quick find in Things is still one of the best interactions out there!

I firmly believe that having a great and active community (with reliable support) is going to be a key differentiator in setting apart one AI product/tool from all the rest.

I use Claude as well. v0 seems to do a better job at building UI's since it has access to shadcn components.

Windsurf is also great. Been starting to see how it compares against cursor with specific tasks.

I really don't think there's a right or wrong way here!

I typically start with @v0.dev as it's great for the UI/frontend side of things and then I eventually move into cursor if I'm going to create an actual project out of it.

I've heard good things about bolt and lovable as well.

You should start! It's fun, especially as a way to learn. You can generate an idea and then start asking the tools how it all works.

Yeah I really miss it but Ally has been great!

Not a brick and mortar, but we've been happily using Ally ever since Simple shut down.

Thanks this is a great way to think about it!

is 1600 you're large and 1440 standard? is that what you mean by large? or do you start with 1600 as default?

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

Oh yeah for sure! I'm just wondering though for quick mockups what's your go-to default

When mocking up a website what's your go-to frame size?

I've yet to explore custom feeds/lists here. Any favorites y'all can't live without now?

Alright do we like "found sound design" or "sound on please" better?
