I see we’re back to “reading comics is reading” posts again, so just a reminder that the brain processes a sequence of images the same as it does text (and the combination of text and images too). So, in a neural sense, yes, reading comics is reading onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....

Unexpected/sort of/maybe expected side effect of using a completely different yarn type is the gage is not the same. My netting crochet project may have different sleeve lengths. Sigh.

I still need to wash and block it, which may cause more distortion.

Uploading some older art that I keep forgetting I did.

I don't like the new yarn at all. It's slippery and difficult to work with. I'm gonna finish this project with it though and treat it as a mockup. If I find the other yarn I preferred then I'll just make sure to buy enough. I'm not sure that I've made the right size anyway.

If you want very cheap printing and don't really care about quality or binding, Colour and Copy Solutions on Main Rd in Rondebosch might be worth looking into. They cater to uct students.

The original supplier no longer stocks the yarn I was using for this project (even though it's still listed on their website). Tried a different yarn with the same thickness but... the black dyes are not the same shade...

Just double check the reviews. It has been 10 years since I read them. But I'm fairly certain books 1-3 are decent.

Like the 1st 3 books are totally worth it. Book 4 starts introducing supernatural elements and from book 5 it's just blegh. If I could go back I'd just read books 1-3 and enjoy those as is.

The books become weird garbage unfortunately. I read them while the tv show was airing because I wanted to know why the show deviated from the source material and... yeah I understand why it did. It's bad.

It helps that it has so many holes 😆
