using AI just to make the "unnoticable" textures is stupid. making the unnoticable textures is one of the best bits. making stupid jokes on in-game billboards. putting crappy effects over eachother til it looks good. drawing squiggly lines to make something look less flat. all of this is fun

Just a reminder that generative AI is theft of labor and intellectual property, uses vast amounts of energy/ water, provides at best mediocre results (if not outright lies or misinformation), actually affects your ability to think over time (mind duh), and is in general a really fucking bad idea.

It pours heavy rain as rasha, who is seen from behind, stays put on land, watching mu sail away in an old boat. original description: "in this au, mu works as some sort of mechanic at a small fishing sloop. he gets knocked overboard as a huge storm hits, mysteriously carried ashore to an unknown itty bitty island. there's a broken old dory there ironically named 'solid gold' that he sets out to fix to eventually find his way back home. spending several days on the island, mu comes to notice that the fish he catches goes missing sometimes, and marks of human hands smaller than his own are sometimes scattered around the sand close to shore. one day, as he is fishing, he catches something that puts up a mighty fight. mu trumps and finds the creature to be rasha, a lonely merman who now has a hook stuck in his cheek. mu initially cuts the wire to help, but rasha retreats. a few days later, rasha hesitantly comes back, starving because he cannot eat with his injuries, and sees mu as his last resort. mu helps him and a bond is formed - rasha helps him scavenge for materials deep underwater so he can fix the dory, while mu catches fish for rasha to eat, as it turns out rasha is a terrible hunter. mu eventually has to leave the island, and therefore, rasha, behind. now you may say to me 'uhmmm nanna, isnt rasha a merman, cant he just chase the boat' and yes, he can do that technically but, A. isn't it way more painful for rasha to understand why he'd have to leave and force himself to stay there and watch (i love suffering.) B. I thought it'd be a great visual metaphor to have the human in water and the merman on land, sort of symbolising how wrong it feels for the both of them to suddenly be apart, if that makes sense. 'like a fish on land' and vice versa? rashas hair blowing in the wrong direction though, that was not intentional and im an idiot for that."
