We're so pleased to be performing at three beautiful UK cathedrals this summer! 🌞 Join us at Lincoln Cathedral on 18th July, @exetercathedral on 23rd July and Winchester Cathedral on 24th July and hear us performing our favourite music in these incredibly special places!
You might not have recognised us without our robes, but we dropped by to see what the BGT judges thought of us. They all gave us a YES, and Simon thought we were "Seriously, seriously good". Can't be happier than that! 😊 🎶 youtu.be/LNpSIAOMD24?...
The area around this Buddhist temple complex was spectacular and made for some great photos. Then it was back to the hotel for some rest before our flight back to the UK, full of fantastic memories and proud to have been able to sing once again for our Japanese fans 🦌
Our final full day in Japan, and what fantastic memories we have made. After Easter Day mass we visited Nara, which included a visit to Nara Park and the Tōdai-ji Temple, where we made friends with some of the local park deer.
Our Japanese fan club is so unique—no other performing group like us has such as special supporters group—so we were delighted to be able to say thank you to them and their organisers 🎌
Today was a day off from our performing duties, and we had scheduled a programme of activities on the historic destination of Awaji Island. The weather, however, was not great, so we made some last minute changes and shared our outing with members of our Japanese fan club.
We treated ourselves to some lunch in China Town and then moved to the theatre and had loads of fun creating art and haiku pieces before our performance. This concert was our final opportunity to perform as part of the percussion team, including a first for Libera—taiko! 🪘
Tonight would be our final concert at the Kobe Kokusai Hall, so we made sure to stop at the Kobe Port Tower first and take in all the sights of this incredible port city—not for those scared of heights!!!
Performing is at the heart of what we love, so we were so pleased to once again have the chance to sing for all the wonderful crowds that turned up to see us. Thank you!
Tonight was our fourth concert. The Orix Theater in Osaka is known for its lively urban atmosphere so we needed all the energy we could pile onto our plates at breakfast (and not just because we would end up using quite a lot of it during a spot of afternoon football)! ⚽️
Our original idea was to experience a river cruise, but the rain thwarted our plans once again. But no problem; instead, we headed to an amusement arcade for some games, ate at a cook-it-yourself restaurant, and then went to a simulated sushi art session! 🍣
Today we travelled to Osaka, which means a chance to ride on the Shinkansen—Japan's high-speed "bullet" train. Once we arrived we headed straight to Dotonbori, which is Osaka's vibrant entertainment district.
But that did nothing to dampen our spirits, because we'd heard news that our new EP Postcards had gone to No. 1 on the Japanese Classical Chart! We headed to the local mall for some social media and TV interviews before hitting the stage for another fantastic night of music 🥇
A double performance day! Today we had two concerts at the Line Cube Shibuya. Our plan was to use the time between gigs to head to Yoyogi Park to explore the green space and the Meiji Shrine, but the weather had other ideas and our activities were rained off.
There were all sorts of fun and futuristic exhibits to look at and interact with, including robots! But the highlight of the day was walking out onto the big stage in front of so many wonderful people and being able to sing. If you were there, we hope you enjoyed it! 🤖
Tonight was to be our first concert at the Line Cube Shibuya in Tokyo, but before the big event we had a chance to visit Japan's National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, which is known as the Miraikan.
The following day we were straight to work with a rehearsal, and in the afternoon we headed out for some sightseeing. Ueno Park is one of Tokyo's most famous cherry blossom locations, and Asakusa is a historic district centred on Sensō-ji Temple. There was so much to see! 🌸
We made it to Japan and we're so excited! Our first 48 hours was like a whirlwind. After landing at Tokyo airport we headed straight to our hotel which is situated near one of the city's major entertainment complexes.
