Imagine if that does happen and is able to drop the act he starts doing something like Gentoku Himuro.

I feel that several times he has tried delaying C.O.D.E's decision in killing Baku and knows his time is up. His dream is his was of confessing to Baku about what was happening.

If it's like that and he ends up being killed for it, really hoping that he somehow lives through CODE Zeroider.

I could see that, yeh, in the first part of the episode by the graves, Zero wanted to put his hands and Baku but hesitated. He also warned Baku instead of ambushing him.
