A small, long haired, buff (orange) tabby with a white goatee snuggles against the side of a large, long-haired, darker orange tabby cat. She (the smaller cat) has a very alert expression on her face while the big cat has droopy upper eyelids and a generally kind of dopey expression.
So far, so good for the "get Zozo a cat friend" plan. Also, when they play, she will fully put him in a headlock with both front paws as he drops to his belly in front of her. Best and sweetest orange himbo, and her sass levels out their size disparity (they're both adults! She's small, he's chonk!)

Her name is Miss Marigold Maeby McGuirk, aka missmiss, tiny terror, marmalade muffin, and "hey, you ridiculous gremlin!" At this point, she startles easily, demands attention on her terms, *hates* being held or picked up, and nail clipping is a struggle. The shelter believes she is three years old.

A large, long-haired, orange cat sleeps on his side in a green and black fabric cat crate. A smaller, long-haired, orange cat with a white goatee sits on top of him in the back of the crate. A white towel is crumpled under the cats and in the foreground
Our elder lady statesman crossed the rainbow bridge on February 12. On February 28, this small orange gremlin came home with us, and promptly refused to let us perceive her for a week. I'm pleased to say that she is a complete gremlin who loves Laszlo more than he'd probably like, and she's happy.

"For more than an hour, several employees said, workers in the facility were instructed to continue fetching totes, picking items off shelves and loading them onto trucks for delivery as the man lay dead, and management figured out their next steps."

This is an outstanding resource and very clear rundown on a) why Substack is bad because people apparently still need to be spoonfed in 2026 and b) the MYRIAD options to use instead

I went to both jr and sr year, but at my second high school and they were un-themed if I remember correctly, just blue and silver at the nco club at the AF base, and at my jr year one guy did an amazing dance to Billie Jean. And that's most of what I remember.

Oh, and my cousin is Skip. Despite the fact his dad died in 1998 and he could be using his legal name without confusion.

My mum had an uncle bing, he had a son called butch, who had a son named bo. Because they were all the same actual first name. But nobody ever called them by their legal name!

To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books.
She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.
It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.

Funny the things that pull you out of a story. Was reading a book where a wool garment burst into flames. Nope, sorry. I can suspend disbelief for monsters, but not for wool fireballs.

This is what I don’t understand: How could extensive attention to clean indoor air make anything *worse*? Particulates and pollen and so on cause issues for people with allergies and asthma even before we think about anything else. It’s cheap and easy and we should just be doing it everywhere!

i had an adhd fugue one day and signed up for a different mystery quilt for next year, and...also have no idea what the finished quilt size is, even? I'm sunk costs in for this one but it will likely remind me that I'm not big on mystery.

god, what have you done?
i may be a pink pony girl, but you won’t catch me dancing at the club. i will be in bed.
first of all, i have a newsletter! i keep things ostensibly writing-focused, but it's all terribly informal and sometimes just about my cats. here is the latest email i sent, which happens to also be a year in review. i'd love it if you subscribed!
