The good thing is it’s a hard cheese so it lives forever, and you can use it on just about anything. Play around with which side of the grater you use, fine for sprinkling over a melty layer, coarse for going into sauces, slicer for adding to salads.

Please be well tomorrow, I’d prefer it if we all stuck around. 🩵

That is at least a more accurate start than LOTR. 😆

Also, those phone ads? They desperately want to join the above, but they are a bit too obvious about it, like they are looking for a heard of cows in the butter conditioner.

It has just occurred to me that ghost chips, puzzle time, thermonuclear pies, togs/undies transformation zone etc… they are the Gen X (and maybe millennials?) people of Aotearoa version of quoting Monty Python, aren’t they?

I don’t know where to sit with this thought.

(I’ve never watched MP).

They like a bit of sport, but they are actually mostly pretty good eggs.

Speaking of eggs, if you do actually want to understand us, I warn you that you’re probably going to need to learn about “ghost chips”.

People who choose the latter option usually hugely enjoy our discourse once they get used to it. (We can be very funny, if you give us the chance.)

No knickers were twisting in the drafting of this post.

See right now, this could be your pivot point. The one where you realise that we’re not trying to be mean, we’re just going to keep ribbing you until you either give up or decide to learn more about our politics and culture so you can take part in these conversations in an informed manner.

This is exactly the context I was perhaps too long-winded in trying to explain.

May you keep learning adorable things about him that make you feel even more fond of him. (Seriously, 28 years in and I think that’s one of the best things about proper long term relationships, the continued propensity to surprise each other.)

You know, socialised healthcare, employment protections, affordable education, gun control, those kind of this.

But we’d better be careful, least someone accuse us of talking US politics 🙃

I have a suspicion you’re really quite fond of one of them. 😄

TBH we’d all probably be in a much better place if Americans decided to be benevolent to their own people.

2 days ago 4 0 1 0

I quite like a lot of individual Americans. It’s just the ones who don’t realise we all live on the same planet that get a bit tiresome.

Yeah, nah, we’re not that insular over here. And that’s not really how the Internet works. To boot, it’s specifically not how BlueSky works.

Denial is one of the stages of grieving. What they don't tell you is that those stages aren't necessarily linear, and that you do tend to jump back and forward through them.

Earlier in the day her profile said no NSFW stuff.

I feel bad for her, but I also feel that she is so far down some hole that you could turn up with a hot chocolate and cookies and ask how she was doing and it would still be an affront.

I'm still thinking about this and how good it looks.

I would happy have it for my dinner.

I actually went and looked her up on Clearsky (because I was slightly worried about her).

She has posted over 5,000 times since joining in January this year, and has been blocked by almost 3x as many people as follow her.

I suspect screaming into the void is a habit.

Profile has been completely rewritten. And yes I’m a bad person for using my other account to check.

I honestly regret pointing out that the thread was about AoNZ politics to her.

I never meant to start a pile on. 😢

It would not surprise me.

It looked good on George Michael but he is unique in history.

Also, as a straight friend, I can confirm that they are at their scratchiest from about 12 hours post-shave until about day 5, at which point they start to soften up. I’m still not a fan.

I actually feel bad for even responding in the first place, because she’s having an absolute meltdown, and I’m a little bit worried about her, but because she blocked as soon as she replied to each poster, there’s no way to apologise to her.

Maybe the number of them that came down in the storm a few weeks back?

3 days ago 1 0 0 0

It is. Someone mentioned Act, the person responded that Act want relevant because it was a political party in AoNZ, so it wasn’t relevant. I mentioned that given the thread was about politics in AoNZ and apparently we’re all very bad people for not specifying our location in each post.
