Added RSS support for arrays of machine_ids, arrays of location_ids, as well as lat and lon in order to limit results to a radius (default 30 miles) around. Use max_distance= for a different radius.

Chart showing how many copies of newly released machines were added to pinball map in 1st 6 months of release.
Here is the same list of machines, but over 6 months after release. Obviously Pokemon hasn't been out for 6 months.
Me too. It’s also useful to look at longer time spans, since sometimes rollouts or slower or they don’t release the Pro model first.
We added a manual light/dark theme toggle to the website.
On mobile it's in the menu.
Somewhat tricky to implement because it involves reloading map styles.

How has the release of Pokémon stacked up against other recent pinball machines?
Here's how many machines were added to the map for the first month after release.
That’s what we had in Scott’s basement. Great games.

Looks really fun!
I had shared the link with someone outside of bsky. When writing that post, I forgot it was in my clipboard and I pasted it into the post (thinking the img was in clipboard). I then backspaced it out. But for some reason the post magically became a quote repost. Never clicked an actual repost button
Bar chart showing Pokémon pinball machines added per day.
Sorry, reposting because the last one was an unintentional quote repost.
Here’s a quick chart showing how many Pokémon pinball machines were added to locations each day. Axis labels? No!
Maybe I shouldn't have shared a screenshot from development with a bunch of fake numbers :D
But I did warn that it's fake data!
Although, I forgot that the "nearby activity" one did not have a filter. (there are three activity feeds, and I forgot)

Also, when you’ve added more than one score on a machine, your profile page will show highest, all scores, score count, and average score.
Fake example in screenshot.
We also added an endpoint that returns highest score per machine, for any user: pinballmap.com/api/v1/machi...
And it can be filtered by user and/or machine.
😝
At least they were filterable. But yeah, required manual work. People don’t really care about other people’s scores!
We have a few more things to do with scores. And will also add this functionality to the app.

Some website score tracking changes:
- Activity feed will only show your own scores pinballmap.com/activity
- Your user profile page will show your highest score per machine
- Machines at locations will only show your own scores, and includes your highest on any copy

Not sure what Hi Zev means.
But for the sake of searchability of this article: there are plans for a Dungeon Crawler Carl pinball machine.

We made a Pinball Map zine containing the location of the week articles we wrote.
We've put it at a few spots in Portland, OR. Like at Sit Tite, Star Tropics, and Wedgehead so far. Usually found on the change machine.
There’s a big place opening pretty soon.
The TWIPY Awards show this year is pretty fun! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3Uo...
