It may have been a grim place but at least one could buy a house .. I bought my first house at age 22 without parental help .. so are we really progressing ? Jobs were hard to come by but if you had one you could afford a place to live !

Great news Helen … know all about the cost of those tests had them a few years ago when running marathons … and my sister (a nurse)thought I was going to die when I crossed the finish line .. we have family history but I was clear as a whistle ! Others have high cholesterol mine normal .. exercise!

The tweets kept us all going during Covid Helen, Aunt Monica reminded me of what was best in people , also of my Mum and her friends , the love of Arnotts and how they used to meet up on Saturday for the coffee and bun there. All now sadly gone but we are left with great memories
