How to Play SKY×CROSSING in 5 steps! 1. Make OCs/NPCs to occupy the world. - Fill out the template (optional!) and post for the first prompt—1. Introduction—to introduce yourself and your character (use #skycrossintro) 2. Do any of the prompts that inspire you...or none at all! Totally cool to just vibe and interact with others. 3. When Event 1 drops, react! This can be art, writing, or a simple post of HCing or opinions. 4. Suggest a conclusion when the form opens (if you have any, else skip this step). 5. When Event 2 drops, write how your character’s story ends; deviating from the suggested endings is totally OK! And that's it! Don't forget to tag all relevant posts #skycross! Other things you can do while the event is running... - Make up locations & occupations/roles -- Including species, races etc. - Write stories, HCs, brainworm - RP with others utilising bsky threads or other mediums - Collaborate art, magma/drawpile, etc. - Come up with your own prompts and/or host your own events! About 2026 specifically... Alternatively, your OC could have connections to someone in the factions, or they could have been a past member! - Fill in the gaps of 5KY SECTOR! -- Make up: --- a business/organization --- a phenomenon/event/conflict/your own story beat --- Other OCs or NPCs for your lore - HC the other six sectors of the Cradle -- You can even take matters into your own hands and develop them yourself! --- Might want to check in with Inoki🍊 or other participants in case they had plans and for ease of coordination. But other than that, it's all free game!

Worldview — THE CRADLE It is the Year 3026. The sun has grown weak, casting the universe in a shroud of darkness. With the Earth no longer habitable, humanity was forced to create new a civilisation in outer space. All of Earth's lifeforms were transported via the Ark to a man-made megastructure: The Cradle. A massive orbital habitat built from seven interconnected sectors arranged around a central hub. Suspended in the void like a floating city, it houses the last remnants of known life immigrated from Earth. This story takes place in the fifth sector, known as 5KY SECTOR.

— 5KY SECTOR The bustling city stays ever awake in eternal night with splashes of neon in every colour at every corner. Being the most innovative and advanced of the sectors, a mix of genius and madness is a daily occurrence in this fast-paced city known for its science and action. Although moving whole civilisations over meant for a hard life at first, it is thanks to the progressive efforts of 5KY SECTOR that life in all seven sectors is relatively stable now.​​ The Cradle enjoyed a short period of peace... But as humanity develops, new conflicts always arise. No longer fighting for survival, society becomes the new battlefield for conflict. Enforcement handling, medical ethics, and equal rights between subspecies are some of the sectors' many turmoils.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
