Hegseth Borrows Violent Prayer from ‘Pulp Fiction’ to Bless Iran War at April Pentagon Worship Service For the second month in a row, Pete Hegseth, who likes to call himself “secretary of war,” read a violent prayer — that echoes a scene in the Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction — during a worship ser...

what’s funny about this is that tarantino wrote this “ezekiel 25:17“ for the film. it isn‘t actually in the bible. publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/hegseth-bo...

Bless Pope Leo For Blasting Donald’s Stupid War Well said, sir.

The President of the United States is now attacking the Pope, the representative for Jesus Christ on Earth and the leader of the entire Catholic faith, for not endorsing his illegal war and blatant war crimes.

BOOM!
South Australia's power prices have plummeted as they near 100% renewables, proving to the world that relying on wind and solar with battery back-up is possible, more reliable and costs people less.

THIS is how we avoid the next oil crisis.

A Humiliating Defeat Trump's policies are a disaster for America. His illegal, unnecessary war has left us weaker and Iran stronger. Controlling the Strait is better than a nuclear bomb.

We should look to the example of the brave Hungarian patriots who have build a massive movement that will force Trump’s hero, Victor Orban, from office today. The No Kings movement is our equivalent. joecirincione.substack.com/p/a-humiliat...

Just a reminder: the Obama administration struck a deal with Iran called the #JCPOA that restricted enrichment, shipped 98% of HEU out of the country, allowed for inspections, and would have avoided all this. The combination of Bibi and our current president has caused grave injury to the world.

The Law of War Tuesday morning, in a social media post, the President of the United States signaled his intent to violate the rules of war, which prohibit targeting civilians.

I loved this line: “How much more of this do we have to tolerate so MAGA can continue to worship its idol, who rules from an altar built of greed?”

Everyone but Trump Understands What He’s Done Allied leaders know that any positive gesture they make will count for nothing.

Trump has insulted and tariffed his European allies, persuaded Denmark to prepare for a US invasion and, by pressuring Ukraine and not Russia, encouraged Putin to keep fighting. All of which he has forgotten.

Jeff Bezos' Editorial Board Calls Trump's AG Pick, Who Lobbied for Amazon, 'Qualified' The Washington Post's editorial board gave a thumbs up for Trump's attorney general pick Pam Bondi, who previously lobbi

Jeff Bezos' Washington Post editorial board endorsed Pam Bondi as a "qualified" and "serious" pick for Attorney General.

Nowhere in the endorsement did they mention that she's a former Amazon lobbyist.

Another reminder that billionaire control of our media is a threat to democracy.

The S&P futures erased half a trillion in market cap during Trump’s incoherent ramble.

The markets are catching on to what most of the world has figured out.

There is a lunatic in the White House.

Trump Eyes White House Treaty Room for Latest Renovation Project

“President Trump is the builder-in-chief with an… eye for detail and design, and his bold vision will be imprinted upon the fabric of the America and be felt by generations to come.”

Actually, when he’s gone, it will be like Viktor Yanukovych whose gold-plated goo-gahs were reviled.

🔴 Stella Creasy nails it 👏

You can’t say our energy system has left us vulnerable… and then oppose the only things that actually make us independent.

Oil and gas tie us to global markets.
Renewables break that link.

It really is that simple.

Hegseth and Co think we’re in a religious war. Iran’s mullahs think we’re in a religious war. Much of Israel thinks we’re in a religious war. The rest of us are all like… 😱.

That is simply not true. If the deal was in effect today, Iran would not have any 60% enriched uranium. Nor would they have thousands of advanced centrifuges. Most limits lasted for 15, 20, 25 years. Prohibited from enriching above 3.7% & from storing more than 300 kg of gas. Could not make a bomb.

War and the Environment: Military Responsibility and Peacebuilding Governments need to raise alarm about the environmental impact of war — and also use data on impacts as a motivation for more rapid peace-making.

High time @unep.org push for international norms against targeting energy infrastructure in war. The ecological damage is multifold - wastage of precious resources, toxic pollution and carbon emissions. Revisiting my article for @forbes.com cc: @katharinehayhoe.com www.forbes.com/sites/saleem...

Entire Team of Oil and Gas Experts Got DOGE’d Before Iran War The Trump administration fired key experts that could have helped with the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The historical antecedent for this was all the Asia experts who lost their jobs to McCarthyism for telling the truth about Chiang Kai Shek's nationalists being unpopular, incompetent, and cruel, so were not around to advise as America slid into Vietnam.

Because people have been CLAMORING for it... here are my current model outputs for dimensions of craters dug by nuclear weapons at roughly optimized depths of burst. I've included the highest-yield US nuclear weapon currently deployed (B-83), and the 100 Mt Tsar Bomba. NYC for scale (sorry).

Oil and gas prices are soaring. Some countries are ready with solar panels and EVs As an energy crisis grows, some countries are more prepared because of renewable energy and electric vehicles. Pakistan reduced its reliance on imported natural gas because of the growth of solar.

Some countries are better positioned to weather this energy crisis than they would have been just a few years ago.

That's because of the rapid growth of renewable energy, battery systems and electric vehicles.
