Our research associate, Dr. Ackerly, has been a busy fish! She gave a talk at the International Congress on the Biology of Fish in Michigan and then gave another talk at the Society for Experimental Biology Conference in Prague. After all that, she still had energy for fieldwork!

Just 2 girlies in the lab that get it 🫶🏽 Senior graduate students in the lab can really transform your experience as a beginner. I am lucky to have a mentor as patient and understanding as Kate! 🥼🧫

Thankful I adopted a dog at the start of my PhD. People thought I was crazy because of how much care they need, but I would argue that Anitta has enhanced my graduate experience. Because of her I have to set boundaries in my work life and get endless affection 💜🐶 👩🏽‍🔬 #DogMom
