MOB Entertainment owns both Poppy Playtime and Zaminations btw so are we surprised that both things tend to just chase merch sales instead of actually keeping the story good or whatever

Mainly Pokemon tbh (as if I recall correctly most of their profits actually come from merch sales hence why they seem to rush out games with unnecessary new additions just to sell merch) but also other media

I’d use Poppy Playtime as another example but the creators were always money hungry so nvm

If I had a nickel for every time a character/piece of media was somewhat or actually ruined by the pursuit of merch sales to gain some extra cash I’d have way too many nickels
