Screenshot of a tweet from Jonathan Edward Durham (@thisone0verhere) reading: Mostly I go to the library for books, but also sometimes I just go to exist in a space that's organized, peaceful, comfortable, welcoming, and run by somebody who actually seems to know what they're doing, because I'm not sure where else to get that energy. The tweet is overlaid on a photo of a cozy library reading room with warm wood shelves, large windows, and mid-century modern seating.

Was feeling pretty confident in my work clothes but I’m gonna have to fix the bad hair day 😭 (featuring a subtle 🦋 which is funny because I work at a library)

Photo of a small white building with a sign over the door that reads "Lee Public Library." Text below reads "ALA awards $3.5 million in library accessibility funding to 300 small and rural libraries." ALA150 American Library Association
ALA announces the final round of recipients of its Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant, which helps small and rural libraries increase the accessibility of facilities, services, and programs to better serve people with disabilities. https://bit.ly/3Q7XBWH

I’ve been putting off tackling it because I’m a slow reader and I know it’s gonna take me a bit but I might have to bump it up on the tbr!

I cut my hair short specifically because long curly hair takes over an hour to style/dry with the diffuser, and it’s just easier this way.

I keep a physical log of books I read and movies I watch. I’ve read 24 books so far and I’ve seen 28 movies (most in theaters but some at home), and I saw Les Miserables in May. I’m trying to make a conscious effort to use my phone less so we’ll see what it looks like at the end of the year!

Mostly I just think it’s funny that first grade me knew what momentum was and how to use it to my advantage but also I was the nerd who watched NASA documentaries for fun so not that surprising I suppose

Had a bit of a fond flashback while eating some ice cream, to the time I was in first grade and used momentum to launch myself off a swing and pin a boy to the ground for bullying a girl in front of me. Got sent home from school but my mom said I did the right thing and took me to get ice cream.

I don’t mind having a long commute to work but I swear, driving in Augusta will have you going 15 mph above the speed limit in the right lane and you will still have people zipping past you
