Spent the evening being chased by viruses in play tests and they’re so cute but also they will kill you

Finally “out there” with my cozy game - please give it a follow if you’d like, I would super appreciate it! 🌱
Merge game for mobile, but handmade pixel art 🥳

Love it! Lighting and light tricks are so crucial in games and movies, and sometimes I feel like the art of it is neglected. This is awesome.
On #WishlistWednesday, our adorable #Mermeows hope to make new friends. 💚
Dive into the cosy demo today:

Day 35: 2025/08/18 - 8.5h
Found & implemented more fitting (at least for now) SFX for terrain-specific footsteps, mumble voices for character text, melodic acorns, crackling torches, & household sounds for interactable objects & light switches.

Nice, sounds similar to what we’ve done in the past - sometimes we’ll do a quick prototype of a particular mechanic but yes, it’s all evolving
As long as we are flopping, there is life 🙌🏼
👾game devs: what’s your process when you first get a game idea? Fast prototype, concept art, or rough GDD first?

Hi, I’m an indie game dev 🌿 I’m all about story-driven, atmospheric games with gorgeous art and music.
Here you’ll find:
• design & world building
• art + process
• messy WIP moments
If you love story-first games and thoughtful mechanics, you’re in the right place! 🍄

Check it out 😎
We’re cooking up some exciting projects and we can’t wait to share them, but for now please enjoy this cactus that kind of looks like a virus
Gooooood morning fellow humans 😎 We should probably warn you that our game contains viruses 🦠😏

Update on #AvoidyVirus!
Day 3: Return of the Obra Dinn: unique, weird, but awesome art style, masterful use of perspective, color, and lighting. This game made me think about game dev and game art in a whole new way. How can I make something familiar feel new and fresh? Loved this one.

You’ve got this! There are some great courses on Udemy that might help. But otherwise…here’s some coffee? ☕️
Always love seeing clips from the game. Awesome art style and it really pulls you in 👹
Congratulations, that’s awesome! 🎉
Much excite! Hope it goes amazingly! 🙌🏼
Aaaaabsolutely. Then when you come back to it things go so fast after a proper rest 🤌🏼
Very cool 😎
Oooo creeptastic 😱
Loving the color scheme of this, so retro and adorbs 🫶🏼

Sometimes you need those! 🙌🏼
This is great advice in general in game dev actually.
Day 2: Minesweeper: I kept trying to figure out minesweeper, reversed engineered it, and then beat the game over and over again. Fascinating in terms of patterns and simple game design 🙌🏼 #indiedev #retrogames
