i like the experience share theory... like they probably hang out in baby training spots where rookie trainers are likely to battle weaker pokemon so that they can battle vicariously and earn EXP while being in relatively low danger of eating it, esp. with hardening a lot and hanging out way up high

yeah fr, without any rewards to work toward it just feels so empty. i've been having so much trouble convincing myself to go back and complete the free roam objectives when i usually love open world games
