#Gratitude isn’t about a single day or a historical narrative—it’s about being thankful for people, communities, & moments every day. It also means showing up & giving back.
As Beastie Boys remind us, it’s not just about giving thanks—it’s about living it. youtu.be/ZdJ5e70Q8mw?...

Today is #CustodianAppreciationDay.
I’m the son of a custodian. My dad worked long hours, starting before the sun came up & finishing after everyone else had gone home.
Custodians do more than clean. They create safe, welcoming environments. They show up, day after day, with resilience & grace.

That awkward moment when you order food delivery for two, and they bring you utensils for six.
Only people are illegal. This country’s immigration hypocrisy is undeniable.
I was getting ready for a tour for new 1st-year students when two people sat down. I asked if they were in the right spot since my tours usually come en masse. Turns out, they were there for a lecture but showed me the flyer – they were a whole month early! 😂

On the Friday before Spring Break and on what should have been a snow day, I’m here in the building with our beloved custodians. #CustodiansOfStudentSuccess
Stocked up on my agave spirits (tequila & mezcal) because I needs margaritas and because prices will continue to increase.
Can we all agree it's OK to switch an in-person meeting to Zoom, but not OK to switch a Zoom meeting to in-person? #AcademicSky
Wait, what?!
I just submitted a "revise & resubmit" that asked for Chicago Style, and now I want a deep-dish pizza.

I saw a butterfly on my run today. Today is the 19th anniversary of my Dad's passing. There aren't supposed to be butterflies in February in Flagstaff, but I saw one today!

Finally got my copy! Here’s another piece no one will ever read, but read it now before it’s banned.
...and then I proceed to email myself a few things so that "I won't forget."
I've narrowed my emails down to four! Please, everyone, don't email me after I post this. 😛
