I recently met with James Elder from @unicef.org who is in Ottawa to inform Canadians about urgent humanitarian and educational needs in Gaza, amid a precarious ceasefire. Canada did not do enough to prevent atrocities. For a time, we even stopped funding to @unrwa.org. Will we step up now?
I spoke with No Power Panel about my motion calling on the gov. to examine Canada’s potential complicity in violations of intl. humanitarian law in Gaza. We must confront uncomfortable truths and push for justice.
