For unknown reasons, my youngest (1) remembered of the "Speed Chess" scene from the "Gambit" episode of Blake's 7, (2) dig up a clip of the scene, and (3) attempted to transcribe it into MuseScore. #blakes7

Brochure cover for Atari Computer Camps, centered on an Atari 800 home computer surrounded by sports gear and outdoor items including a football, basketball, baseball glove, tennis racket, tennis ball, swim goggles, flippers, horseshoe, badminton shuttlecock, and a butterfly net. The ad tagline at the bottom reads, "Atari Computer Camps, The camp experience that lasts the rest of your life."
I never got to go to an Atari Computer Camp, but I never forgot about my attempts to convince my mom to send me. Despite wanting to go, I still didn't know much about them, so today I take a look at the origins, cost, rise, and fall of Atari Computer Camps.

Hand-drawing of a ninja holding a rake and a water can, pouring water on a flower. A large bug floating ahead. At the top it says "NINJA GARDEN".
(10 years ago) My son misheard me, and I had to draw what he heard. #ninjagaiden

Second place! :)
Flappy!
I love these old Atari 8-bit programmer reference manuals. They detail eveything about the Atari 400/800 8-bit systems. There's a fully annotated source code listing for the Operating System so you see understand exactly how the computer works. I do miss these kind of manuals.
Why? Didn't he like it?
(I'll see myself out)
Third edition of the FujiCup, a competition that selects the best #Atari8bit computers game of the previous year (2025). In addition to the jury's vote, there is also a popular vote, which requires a free donation to participate, contributing to a rich prize pool. fujicup.pl #atari
Title: "Unprepared for a Regrettable Luncheon! (With apologies to Kelly)" In the visual style of famed The Onion cartoonist Stan Kelly, Superintendent Chalmers is having lunch with Principal Skinner, who is menacingly placing a tray of hamburgers and fries upon the table, which greatly upsets Chalmers. Beneath one of the hamburgers is a wrapper bearing the text "Obviously grilled fast food". Chalmers [labelled as "Disappointed guests"]: "B-but... I thought we were having steamed CLAMS!!" Skinner [labelled as "Isometric exercising* odd fellows" - the asterisk refers to a footnote reading "Latest fad"]: "Oh, no, I made STEAMED HAMS™®! ©1996 Skinner family All rights reserved" From within the clouds of smoke billowing from Skinner's kitchen (wherein an American flag can be seen burning) three heavenly beings gaze upon the scene disapprovingly: A pig labelled "Actual hams", Krusty the clown, labelled "Hard-working patent-holders", and a teenaged fry-cook labelled "Ignored sandwich artists". Lady Liberty peeks in the door and sheds a sad tear at this woeful scene. Kelly's obligatory artist cameo has him disgruntledly commenting "Seymour-a bore-e-malice."
Steamed Hams but it's a Kelly comic
(Yup that's right I still make "Steamed Hams but..." memes)

My work-in-progress Atari 8-bit game, "Firefighter" (a twin-stick shooter 🕹️🕹️), was nominated in the 8th annual Atari Homebrew Awards!

a screenshot of tux paint. in this screenshot is a drawing of a humanoid that has a flower wrapped around their chest and a sparkly black to green gradient coming out of their head. the background consists of some abstract decorations.
another tux paint screenshot, this time of a different drawing. the humanoid in this drawing is posing as if they were being carried away by something, with blue decorations surrounding them.

The US version of "Thank Goodness You're Here" would be "Get Off My Lawn!", and be a run 'n gun. 😢
Screenshot of Blake's 7 episode "Weapon", where Travis has killed a clone of Roj Blake, with the words "IS IT BLAKE?", in the style of the logo for the TV series "IS IT CAKE?"
I'm just sentimental about money
Did I just have tabs open of every Series D Blake's 7 episode transcript so I could simulate a Slave (Scorpio ship's computer) quote on a YouTube video about Acorn computers?
