No traffic issues today according to the traffic apps, and yet once again @firstbusses.bsky.social just don’t show up. Wrong kind of blue sky or something?

I don’t usually interject in people’s conversations (mixture of lacking confidence and manners) but I felt I had to so I just left them to it in the end. No idea who they worked for but that company’s sounds delightful…

The whole thing just sent a cold shiver down my spine. How could 3 otherwise reasonable people be so cold and dismissive? And to be so casual about it, you could clearly hear them from 10 meters away.

I’ve never heard such selfish, dismissive, ignorant statements on empathy and mental health. And 1 of them at least has been on the first aider course so should know better!

I did interject once to just say there are better trainers of the course out there as theirs sounded not great, but now I wish I hadn’t. Their trainer could have been perfectly fine but these 3 were just vile individuals.

The conversation was awful. Dismissive of the affect of stress on colleagues, didn’t see how anyone would bring up a problem in the office and were (and I quote) “why would anyone bring their problems to me and why would I care”?

I have to post this as it’s annoyed me somewhat.

This morning over breakfast the table next to to me was talking about the Mental Health First Aider course. Naturally my ears pricked up even though you do try to phase out the conversations happening less than a metre away from you.
