The weight of the disappointment I feel is crushing.
Taking time to grieve and then making a plan to protect as many people as possible.

Firing someone for reasonable personal media is cowardice. Doing so because you have so twisted the meaning of anti-zionism is ignorance. I don't know which is worse in an academic institution.
Pretending that Judaism can only mean one thing, when many Jewish people (and Israelis!) feel differently, is beneath the values you claim to uphold.
.@Muhlenberg I'm incredibly disappointed in and embarrassed by your firing of Prof. Finkelstein. A terrible misstep in an institution that claims to care about the exchange of ideas.
. @lawrencetheband at @FillmoreSS was like having the joy of music plugged directly into my brain. 12/10. See them any chance you get!
Another trip around the sun. 😎 Grateful grateful every day for the life I have and the people in it.
.@Microsoft was kind enough to feature me in their #ContributorStories around my take on OSS docs contributions and more https://aka.ms/contributor-stories/sean-killeen Grateful as always for the opportunity! Big thanks to Randolph West for their nomination. #mvpbuzz
* I say OK, I pay to promote.
* Now the job is flooded with applicants who aren't a good fit, because LinkedIn promoted to them. I'm talking devs with 0 .NET experience applying to senior .NET roles.
It's a system that serves nobody except LinkedIn. Utterly terrible.
Public web page for those foregoing LinkedIn: sctsoftware.atlassian.net/wiki/external/ZTdhOWU3OT...
Very excited to have the opportunity be #hiring a Senior #dotnet developer! If you love delivering often with the latest .NET technologies in a team that levels each other up, check out the job listing! https://www.linkedin.com/hiring/jobs/4002274799/detail/
I see you and your contributions. Do your best to remember that while some people will try to reduce you to the small size of their worldview, you contain multitudes and you are awesome. 4/4
But most importantly: if you use "DEI engineer" as a pejorative, *fuck you*. Racism is poison to systemic quality much moreso than technical risks.
If you are someone underrepresented in tech and you had to see that shit, I'm so sorry. We have such a long way to go. 3/
For real, #hugops to CrowdStrike. I say that as someone whose morning was hosed by the update. These things happen. Processes will be improved.
I'll be looking to see how they handle this culturally, and if they try to blame some individual for this I'll take business elsewhere.
A colleague got me the text of the bulletin. not sure why I couldn't get to it. Sending you #hugops, we'll all get through this.
Consider looking through and seeing if you'd be able to jump in to help this project continue to thrive! As stated in the linked issue, "this project deserves to live."
To all those joining, welcome! To all those renewed, welcome back! To all those who opted out or find themselves not renewed, your contributions are no less valuable, and I'm grateful for you too. #mvpbuzz
Half a decade feels surreal. Grateful for another one! #MVPBuzz Didn't get the e-mail yet but happened to sign into the portal and see the renewal (I think it's rolling out).
.@renovatebot is a wonderful piece of software. 👏🏆
In about 5 minutes, I added a custom manager that can pick up the latest @docfxproject release from nuget and plop it into the Dockerfile for our docfx-action project. Delightful that it was so simple & well-documented.
Hey @kalendarai, sales spam is bad enough, but GPT-generated sales spam is way worse. Thanks for ensuring I know to block you from our corporate e-mail!
I found the issue! It was a typo. The moderators thought they were supposed to be "fact hecking".
That's why they're saying "to heck with the facts"
Your org likely sells products. Products make money. Improving your supply chain & ability to make money is something that a biz is typically willing to invest in.
Make the case. Invest in your tools. And leaders, if your culture doesn't support #oss #sustainability, fix it!
By the way, the discussion on this was:
Me: "We have a need to move to a cross-platform graphics library. This one is well-maintained and supported. It's an annual fee but it's the right tool for our use."
CEO: OK, do it.
LOVE working in a modern, high-trust org. ❤️
Finally getting the chance to support the excellent work of @James_M_South after a long time following his phenomenal #dotnet #oss work on @SixLabors's ImageSharp! We have a use case and I'm happy to be able to purchase a license.
If you're a leader from a (former?) WWC chapter, please get in touch with me. That's all I can say here.
#WomenWhoCode #WWC
This group deserved so much better. I enjoyed the small ways I was able to support it in the past. I'm sad for everyone who worked so hard to make it great.
Good news (for you): @alexslotte is looking for his next opportunity! Snag him as your next engineering leader. I give him my strongest recommendation and would be happy to provide details or introduce you to him.

Brilliant headline 👏 twitter.com/PhilliesNation/status/17...
It's delightful to look at in source control! Can't wait for it to become fully supported. I will jettison .sln files in a heartbeat. https://twitter.com/ErikEJ/status/1778299908119748859
