Showrunners who put your name on every script under an "and" credit -- we're watching you.

Ooh, this thread is good. I already know the person I’m going to send it to, so we can talk about it for a couple of thousand hours.

By the way, ABBA Voyage is the closest thing to a religious experience I have ever had.

I cried like my soul had been saved from eternal damnation from Chiquitita onwards.

On a coach trip to see ABBA Voyage with mum. A woman got on at Sheffield and has been playing Nigel Farage and GB News clips all the way down the M1. *eye twitch*

this race-bending the new musketeers thing is taking it way too far, next they'll be claiming Dumas was black or something

Rayner? I think Thornberry wants it but she wouldn’t get the votes.

The Labour Party need Starmer to hang on until the local elections, so they can blame him for the absolute kicking and then defenestrate him.

"Don't ship unless it's canon" you are truly are the weakest link. Back in my day we shipped characters that never laid eyes on each other. We shipped characters that didn't even belong in the same universe or franchise. Canon is a chain we threw off long ago

We did a lot of reading on the Just War Doctrine when we were making "The Good Place." tl;dr "I want that oil" is not one of the justifications

A routine trip to the dentist once again proving that I would not withstand waterboarding.

At least I've learned to stand up before rinsing and spitting into the tiny sink, because my aim is terrible.

Although I do lie convincingly about how often I floss*. Maybe I am a loss to MI5.

*never

Another good way to clear shelf space is to send anything written by a transphobe, abuser or general dick to the charity shop.

The bookywooky goes in the binnywinny.

Had some new bookshelves built. Spent today consolidating my books with my dad’s books which I got when he died. So many duplications. Especially the Terry Pratchetts. I am my father’s daughter.

I wonder how high his blood pressure is these days. I mean, he must be knocking back the Ramipril like Smarties.

A WHOLE CIVILIZATION
WILL DIE TONIGHT
My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools.
Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's
"keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's
"we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight."
It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before.
"It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time.
A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead.

Are The Wireless Festival organisers pulling some sort of The Producers scam?

Because anyone with half a brain could see that booking a renowned antisemite was not going to go well.

my youngest grandson returns from The Waste. No food again, just metal scraps. But he's so proud, and wants a reward.

"Tell me again about The Great Before. Tell me why The Green went away," he begs.

"in the Before," I begin, "people had questions about who should participate in women's sports..."
