On the topic of slimy people in the wellness industry. Jillian Michaels defended slavery last year.... yeah... youtu.be/66Fxfq4ngBc?...
Better them than the corn refiners and cereal makers.
The new dietary guidelines with grains at the bottom of the pyramid is a HUGE step in the right direction, correcting mistakes that have been damaging the health of Americans for generations. It's regrettable that RFK & Trump are taking credit.

Cauliflower crust pizza is supposedly low carb right? 39 grams only two of which are fiber. 😩
Surely the people organizing the the employee health fair at the local hospital are offering up some nutritious treats...or not.
CAC > 300 is equivalent to prior ASCVD for risk of future cardiovascular events.
One could consider treating someone with CAC > 300 as SECONDARY prevention, not primary prevention.
Similar risk = similar therapies.

Last year, because many patients were raving about her, I started her book, and found nothing offensive or original...at least the 20% I got to. I could've written it.

Remember the WHO supports our crappy nutrition guidelines.
Virta research! The IGNITE study. CGM VS. Fingersticks.
Both the CGM and BGM arms saw similar and significant improvements in glycemia and other diabetes-related outcomes pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39527030/
Are those US government researchers still employed?
PSA: Doritos, Gatorade, Froot Loops and Mac N Cheese without the vibrant colors are still junk "food". I don't know if food dye it toxic or not, but it's a win if duller colors leads to lower sales.
Doritos, Mac N Cheese, Cool Blast Gatorade, Froot Loops are every bit as junky with or without food colors. Yet if they are less appealing without the visual stimulus of vibrant colors, so much the better.
Interesting. I had no idea before of all the implications of changing to natural food coloring. Yet I can't help thinking that none of the "food" products they are talking about in this articles are inherently healthy even with the food dyes removed. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/25/b...
He has been a toxic presence on Twitter for at least 10 years. He was a "med student" longer than any person in the history of med school. So profoundly not shocked he was kicked out.
Nice! My wife went to Colfax.
