A split graphic. On the left the book cover for a horror anthology, Blood In The Bricks, depicts a sinister figure with a rat's head standing in a dirty lane with a spray can in his hand. The tones are yellow and brown with splashes of red.
On the right, "Nineteen chilling tales of urban folk horror" and several glowing endorsement quotes.

It's officially launch day for Blood In The Bricks! It's folk horror, but right here in our towns and cities, written by some of my absolute favourite contemporary writers. Get it now (or They'll pay you a visit).

I think I've completed the incredible Slab Press collection... They didn't even exist just a few years ago! Long may it continue. (Gosh, that's a lot of curating and editing @wishusdonna.bsky.social)

Ivor reached the end credits of 'a court of thorns and roses' by Sarah J Maas

This was an experience. I have so many questions but am scared to ask any of them.

Except, are we SURE claws and bat wings are sexy? I don't even have webbed toes.

My novella, Bring Me Home, is about women making terrible decisions, but also it has a BUNCH of SF questions in it.

- Who deserves to live on Earth?
- How would you act if anti-ageing made you forever young?
- What if you got a superpower & it SUCKED? ๐Ÿงต1/4

IT'S HEART OF THE WYRDWOOD RELEASE DAY!

This is the last in the FORSAKEN books, the one where you both go , 'WTF, RJ?' and at the same time think, 'Well, of course! It's all so obvious now!'

So if deeply strange folk horror fantasy and people working to be better is your jam might be for you.

My folk-horror story, 'The Crow Who Burned', will be in the 'Under The Leaves' anthology by @wishusdonna.bsky.social (check out the cover art!). The story started as an experiment in writing with a Belfast voice in an authentic but accessible way but grew arms and legs (and wings).

Speaking of conventions, for Worldcon-going types who'd like to see it in Europe again, you can support the 2029 Dublin Bid here. dublin2029.ie Dublin in 2019 was amazing.
