I know I'm posting this into the ether as no one follows me here, but damn we had a great time at the Tokyo screening of our new film, THE UNSOLVED LOVE HOTEL MURDER CASE INCIDENT. Shozin Fukui and Koichi Imaizumi came along, which was incredible, and the Q&A after was so nice. Best night ever! 😭

Tod Browning's THE DEVIL-DOLL (1936) has some properly staggering effects. Pure cinematic inventiveness. 😍

This poster for the bleak and amazing Euro crime thriller Almost Human (1974) is so wildly inappropriate. I love it.

Night of the Demon creates a lot of inner turmoil within me, tugging between my undying love of giant demon puppets and the stark reality that the movie would have been much better without a giant demon puppet.

EVIL IN THE WOODS (1986) is like ten movies smashed into one fucked up mess. I'm both bored and overstimulated watching it. I kind of love it.

My entire Bluesky feed is about how great libraries are. While I like libraries, I don't think the algorithm quite gets me yet...

I'm fifty years late to the game, but, holy fuck, GANJA & HESS is an incredible watch. If you've not seen this, fire up Tubi and dive in! A vampire (?) film unlike anything I've seen before.
