This is looting of a government by its leader and his family in such a bold and open way that a Boss Tweed or Huey Long would have stood righteously opposed and explained to underlings that they should dare. It's stealing in plain sight. And everyone involved will need to be one day prosecuted.
I think part of the reason the Pope thing is hitting so much is that modern life is so devoid of *any* morality, any system of right and wrong that is not completely hollow and fraudulent, which hits as halfway sensible and opposed to Trump and those like him, feels absolutely revolutionary
