Does this go without saying?: Craig's powerful backers must see the numbers, and they must be working on some way to spin the convention outcome. Maybe they will try to muck up the gears, de-legitimize it in one way or another. And I hope Team Flanagan is ready for it.

Hmm...does @dbrauer.net or someone else knowledgeable know of a working link? Or was it withdrawn?

๐ฆ๐บ๐ธ Close the Strait! Look, I say we're closing the Strait, and that's final! Don't try to talk me out of it! ๐คก
The Smiths, "Ask"
I could see this being made into a meme template
As I was saying in the second part of Bullet Point Two, if you could either stop bombing everything or state a plan, that'd be greeeeeeeeeat

Rooting for Kat, expecting Biss to win by a comfortable margin, mad at myself for getting invested at all.
I have to ask: Isn't he taking us all down with him? 2/28 attack went through, War Powers vote failed amid further attacks, and impeachment is somehow off the table? How can we be confident he won't get SAVE passed, or use WMD, or otherwise keep accelerating the global destabilization?
TIL negotiations between walking subcaucuses involve shouting! in a crowded room!
I think Josh is really the smartest person in the room.
what's this? ANOTHER motion to suspend the rules and vote as a group by badges? there hasn't even been a walkout!
i find it more than a little strange that i got absolutely no information about this contest (sd59 dfl chair) prior to maybe a couple days ago, when i saw widner being promoted on bsky.
using my best judgment, i am abstaining from this one. i feel i don't have enough information.
i'm starting to think that the establishment's opposition to badge votes last year was not entirely made in good faith
tbh neither candidate speech seemed really enlightening to me
for whatever it's worth, i'm a little conflicted about this sd59 dfl chair election. widner has been endorsed by people i tend to align with. but i've met brown, albeit years ago, and he struck me as someone of good faith. i am paying attention to the speeches.
all good, Peggy is here now!!!
*66. (I would love to see Peggy in person here at 59!)
Thank you to Josh Martin for clarifying the proposed amendment to strike the proposed amendment, to the best of his ability.
this sounds unspeakably awful. (at the same time, nuclear weapons use would presumably be even far worse.) bsky.app/profile/leah...
with that said, i'm finding it hard not to think about this. bsky.app/profile/atom...
Apropos of nothing, I found myself giving a small donation to re-elect Irene Fernando as Hennepin County Commmissioner District 2.
a friend reminds me that what's in the room here is what we have influence over
reading my bsky timeline, interspersed as it is with news of Middle East violence and foreboding over potential WWIII, as i sit in the North High auditorium where we debate voting methods and hear from state auditor candidates, has kind of a War of the Worlds feel tbh
i know nothing, but the motion to elect officers by plurality smelled to me. i'm glad it's being ?tabled? ?postponed? hashtag aaaggggghhh
i'm at the SD59 DFL convention. my seat is giving me something of a birds-eye view. i'm here to support ilhan omar and peggy flanagan, hopefully by electing supporters other than me to the higher level conventions. this feels like about as far as i can go these days.
i'm back. not sure how much i'll be saying. much gratitude to my neighbors for their phenomenal world-changing effort these past several weeks. โฎ๏ธ
