I was just reading the 76 rules - the chances of being shocked into frozen terror by anything ‘startling’ is 25% which is so great

If a library had a complete collection it would be a tremendous history - I have the first 50 and it’s amazing reading
Really enjoying new issue of Wyrd Science and article on Alarums and Excursions, an oddly under appreciated part of gaming history
Want to listen to Caroline Bicks talk about Steve King (that's me)? You can do it on Neil McRobert's TALKING SCARED podcast. McRobert is smart and Bicks is equally smart. You'll enjoy it.
I’ve just published a new scenario for Twilight:2000 under the Free League Workshop licence - face the nightmare of the metro tunnels beneath Warsaw as the last chance to evade the Soviet offensive www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...
It’s one of the few bigger 70s/early80s games I haven’t tracked down - it seems to come up rarely on eBay which seems odd
A "wartime" poster that says: "Using Generative AI? You're Prompting with Hitler! GenAI is a Fascist Project! Try using your brain instead! Don't surrender your creativity to the Tech Billionaires' control!"
I missed this from @phineas.bsky.social when it originally came out but it sure feels relevant at the moment.
Also, you can buy this as a print from the artist here:

My first title is now live on DriveThruRPG!
Last Dance in Shoreditch is a modern-day Call of Cthulhu scenario set in London, where a missing friend, the city’s nightlife, and something far worse collide after dark. Very excited to finally put this out there.

I just published a new Miskatonic Repository scenario for Call of Cthulhu, set in Iron Age Europe. Can the PCs navigate the dream-like Sea of Dust and thwart a careless Shaman who intends to slay Death itself? www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...

The picture is an altered version of Girl with a Pearl Earring (Dutch: Meisje met de parel), an oil painting by Dutch Golden Age painter Johannes Vermeer, dated c. 1665. Which has been crudely defaced. The original is a tronie, the Dutch 17th-century description of a "head" that was not meant to be a portrait. It depicts a European girl wearing "exotic dress", an "oriental turban", and what appears to be a very large pearl as an earring. Here the girls face has been replaced, badly, with that belonging to the 1983 official Advanced Dungeons and Dragons toy, The Raging Roper
Anyway, talking of mashups
I Inexpertly Photoshop the 1983 Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Toy, The Raging Roper, into a classical painting until I forget: Day 3
The cover of the dungeon book, showing an old-school cutaway diagram of a dungeon, complete with a dragon.
Lo, 'tis THE DUNGEON BOOK cover!
The Jungle Book meets Dungeons and Dragons with a dash of Pan's Labyrinth in this gleefully fun standalone fantasy narrated by a sentient skull, in which a small girl is thrown to a dungeon full of monsters, who decide to raise her rather than eat her.
11th August!
Ooh you have a copy of Timelord by Ian Marsh
#Jennell #Jacquays, trailblazing #trans woman, #TTRPG designer & artist, is a legend. This article provides a deep analysis of her first big adventure module, Caverns of Thracia, proving that she is the first truly great adventure designer, and arguably the GOAT.
