2026 Media Thread by Benson
this year's media better be good I stg I will crash out
Wasn't able to get all of #TheIndigoDisk story done today, but at the very least I have beaten all of the Blueberry Elite Four, with Kieran next! Caught most of the Pokémon I need from here too, though specifics on HOME Dex progress will come later on once I've done some trades with my girlfriend :]
Some trades (courtesy of my lovely girlfriend), evolutions and breeding later, I've hit 795 out of 890 Pokémon for the HOME Dex (the 47 extra ones are from the Galar DLC, Hisui & Paldea), less than 100 Pokémon left! Having passed that milestone now, here's a list of all the Pokémon I need to get :]
LEGO Monkie Kid - Season 2 (2021) [REWATCH]
Yeah this was DEFINITELY a step-up from the first season. The less episodic nature of this season with Lady Bone Demon's plan all building up to the amazing finale was a great idea...and dear god she's still just as terrifying as she was the first time.
LEGO Monkie Kid - Revenge of the Spider Queen (2021) [REWATCH]
Good special overall don't get me wrong...but dear fucking god I'm never gonna beat the monsterfucker allegations.
Sakamoto Days (2025)
This anime was fucking hilarious, but it also had a lot of heart to it, and the fight scenes kicked ass. I love that Sakamto keeps effectively adopting characters by giving them jobs at the store, and the villains were also great.
LEGO Monkie Kid - Season 1 (2020) [REWATCH]
Solid first season I'd say. As episodic as it was, I enjoyed the characters and the episodes - Demon Bull King was an aight first main villain, but I know better ones come later...and I'm still just as down bad for the Spider Queen as I was before.
LEGO Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born (2020) [REWATCH]
Never realised the show ended after season 5, so I'm going back to rewatch it from the start! Already I'm reminded why I loved this show in the first place - the art style and animation are absolutely gorgeous, and I love the characters as well!
Harley Quinn Season 5 (2025)
I really like that this season takes place in another location besides Gotham, cuz it opens up the possibilities for new stories to be told. I on't think it's as good as the first three seasons, but I still liked it, and I thought Stephen Fry did good as Braniac.
a digital illustration of Odaka and Fujimi from Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, sitting in a low-lit bar. They look the way they do in flashbacks before the events of the show, relaxed and smiling at each other, and their faces are notably red. Odaka sits upright, holding his pint closer to him. Fujimi has already had half of his beer and is slouched a bit to his side, face leaning on his hand and looking over at Odaka with a smirk. His face is much redder, and it's unclear whether or not being drunk is his only reason for it.
not that anyone's surprised but they already have me in a chokehold #kamenriderzeztz #fujinox
DC: *Appoints @pumpking1rli3.bsky.social to be in charge of this year's April Fools project*
".........I've made a terrible mistake..."
(Secret teaser at the end for those who do watch through. Volume warning though, Ghostie can't balance for sh*t)

Blood Blockade Battlefront (2015)
I love the setting of this series, which is a city that used to be New York City populated by humans and creatures from another dimension. Leo and the other members Libra is a great cast of characters to follow, and the animation is great.
Lego DreamZZZ - Enter The Cyber Game (2025)
Yet again another step-up from before, so this is my new favourite season! The first half was easily the best half so far, and the theme of free will used throughout it all was executed really well! Anti-authoritarian stuff like this really is my jam tbh.
Project Hail Mary (2026)
Because this came out literally two days ago, I won't say much, just that Ryan Gosling is a great actor, and that the 2 hr and 36 min runtime was used very well.
⭐Auditions for Ex-Aid: True Ending will be closing in 4 days! Be sure to audition while you still can!
Cheese
Sinners (2025)
...
Why the fuck did I not see this on opening day, or opening week for that matter?
Godzilla Valentine's Day Special (2024)
This was a nice little one-shot, though my favorite part has to be Piper expressing her views on the kaiju as parts of our world rather than fight them.
Also, the yuri in this one is great.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Official Movie Adaptation (2009)
Eh, not much to say. There was an Autobot named Jolt in the movie who was absent here, which I didn't notice until after I finished it. I will say, at least Optimus doesn't execute Demolishor at the beginning.
Harley Quinn Season 4 (2023)
So this season had a new writing team at the helm, and this season was very much a growing pain for them. The main narrative is unfocused, and there are some plot threads that end up unresolved, such as Bane's romantic interest in Nora.
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025)
Not even the dinosaurs could alleviate the boredom I felt watching this movie.
No, not even the Spinosaurus.
Also, there was a 20 on the box, and the product page on Lego's online store says it's for the 20th anniversary, but still.
Really excited for you to start watching Zi-O
At first, a new Lego Lightning McQueen seemed like a very out of left field choice.
It was only after I saw an early look at the Cars 20th Anniversary logo that I realized this choice was anything but.
Happy almost 20th birthday to one of my favorite childhood movies ever.
Kamen Rider Vram: Route Stomach (2025)
An interesting little What If? scenario where Lakia learns the identity of Comel's killer sooner. Jelly Custom Noir is a pretty cool form, and I loved the fight it had. And Lakia's insert during the credits was just perfect.
Revenger (2023)
This show had me hooked from the start with its premise, as well as its main character. The Revengers' methods of killing their targets are very unique and also quite graphic. I love then inclusion of the opium trade as a plot point, and the finale was very bittersweet.
