I’m a huge fan of @sean.tuesdayknightgames.com and his work and Mothership just seemed like the perfect system for a cyberpunk dystopian about uploading the mind of the rebellion to the teeming masses. I’m hoping to write a follow up setting zine for EPR1Me soon.

Let me just say that Valve really knows their audience by picking these two as poster children for the Steam Machine:

But I hope this flash in a pan can inspire others to be comfortable in expressing themselves through character work in tabletop games. It is therapeutic, grounding, and powerful.

There were flaws of course, but many of them are emergent from the creators I think not really knowing what was going to happen here, and they were addressed.

There have been very few public & online realms where I have felt safe being as open and honest about my queer identity, and all of them have been TTRPG spaces, and this has been the best one.

this game was a space to be safely queer in a way that was not just comforting, but life affirming, grounding, fundamental. There was a free in character hormone clinic, there were rough men having tender moments, there were girl fights for adoring audiences, there was a dating show

#over/under had a lot of things... emergent world building, deeply fraught safety dynamics, brand new players & decades long veteran TTRPG writers, bars, book stores, a conclave, a zombie uprising... but most of all it was so queer

haha whoops there's consequences to going immediately cold turkey from the 24/7 endorphin/dopamine machine. whoops. lock in, jess, lock in.
