Yeah, I do think that if they're planning to do a real universe reset, it's a great framework to do that, but if they're not then it's just taking another comic book event name and not doing it justice (Secret Invasion). But yeah, I guess these movies aren't really for us.

Haven't seen this interview, but based on leaks I am pretty sure they are making a movie based on Jonathan Hickman's 2015 Secret Wars, which I really enjoyed but also which feels like an insane thing to call Secret Wars. And yeah, it's a "crisis" if you will.

All my comedy heads need to get on that Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins. It just finished its first season, all ten episodes are on Peacock, and it is so so funny. It's got that 30 Rock laugh rhythm but with fresh characters. It's a great time.

The next Spider-Man or Superman isn't gonna be born in a movie. They're gonna be a weird side character in book 8 of a 12 issue crossover no one reads but who one writer likes and expands into a character everyone loves five years later.

Seeing the layoffs at Marvel comics and it reminds me of a thing I yell about a lot, that they should triple the budget for Marvel and DC comics and never expect to make money from the comics. That is all R&D, that's the work you do now to have the billion dollar movie franchise in twenty years.
