The first art piece of the year ended up being a Secret Santa! I try my best to finish these before Christmas but ended up having to finish right at the deadline with everything going on. It happens sadly. At least it's done now! I'm really happy with the hair and the tail the most. While the hair is being pulled up by the shading, the tail was both fun and I felt like it did a great job capturing their design. It might have taken a while but finally here and came out so well!

Anti-shipping posits that engaging with taboo kinks or ships makes people more like to do those things in the real world, or at least desensitizes people to it.

Which, they're wrong. There is plenty of data to show that engaging with taboo media doesn't make you more like to commit taboo acts.

Essentially, not being opposed to shipping without limits, including taboo topics, due to the inherently fictional nature of it all.

Anti-shipping is the idea that taboo shipping, or anything "problematic" shouldn't be done because it's harmful in fiction and IRL.

It's very much a, "Most of the time, it's completely fantastic, except when it isn't. When it's bad, it's REAL bad."

But it's atmospheric as hell, the puzzles are super fun, I teetered the line of resource management constantly. I'm really excited to go onto Resident Evil 2.

I think the camera is seriously the main thing holding the game back for me. I really enjoyed my time with it, but I also don't love it enough to want to replay it, unlike I did with RE8, which is, tbf, the only other Resident Evil games I've played besides Revelations on the 3DS.

I beat Resident Evil 1! Genuinely way better than I expected it to be. (for the most part)

There are definitely some moments where you play the game, and it shows its age, or VERY questionable design decisions. (One-shot Hunter moves, those little spider-shits, and some camera angles come to mind.)
