California and Virginia actually let their voters have a say in redistricting! Did Texas let their voters have a say? Nope!
Not only will heat harm crop plants, but farmers and livestock (animals) and fish too.
I know you know, but articles like this help raise awareness of the coming challenges and why it's imperative that we act yesterday, today, and tomorrow to prepare.

VA redistricting passes, which should add 4 more Dem seats. Trump started the mid-decade redistricting effort by pushing Texas to do in June 2025 when many Republicans felt it could backfire on them.
It has.
Democrats did not want to do any mid-decade redistricting. It was Trump who started it in June 2025 with a phone call to Greg Abbott after more special election losses. Dems warned they’d respond. But Texas did it anyway - without the consent of the voters. Then Dems responded.
If Republicans could just run the government competently while they control the presidency, house and senate, they wouldn’t have to worry about gerrymandering, SAVE Act, or any other efforts to rig the midterms. Maybe the Iran War will save them since voters love it so much.
Why do they let people have PACs who aren't committed to running for office?
The New Sexism in a picture. I hope this picture goes viral, wins a prize, and winds up on the cover of a dozen magazines.
"This is an important thing to think about."
Maybe it's just me but I don't think Jeffrey Epstein's clients should be the ones to decide if Jeffrey Epstein's clients should be prosecuted.

You won't find him at Coachella or the Met Ball with AOC or Bernie Sanders. He's too busy doing the job tax payers pay him to do - clean up Congress!
“Children are living with pain,” said Crystal Adams, director of the N.C. Oral Health Collaborative. “Adults are unable to find employment because of their oral health. That should not be the reality in our state.” ncnewsline.com/2026/04/21/n... @lbonner.bsky.social #ncpol
Pennsylvania's appellate court confirmed that access to abortion is a fundamental right under the Pennsylvania Constitution.
This decision is a win for all Pennsylvanians.
The government shouldn't be making your healthcare decisions - you should.

Very incitedul piece.
A mass shooting that took the lives of eight children should stop this country in its tracks. Instead, the Shreveport tragedy disappeared from the headlines in a day. We cannot allow this level of violence to fade into background noise. Ending America’s gun‑violence epidemic is a moral oblligation.
Right? Do you think Big Ag will give one fck if we starve?
Domestic champagne and caviar can't tempt the 1%.
89% of all Americans want them all released.
I know people who regret voting for him over Epstein.
Magas were persistent in trying to get them released, while Dems pulled back during Biden's term.
Credit where it's due - the rich and powerful are covering this up. Magas want to know the truth.
Hey Virginia! TOMORROW, April 21, 6am–7pm, we get our chance to protect our state from the power grabs already destroying Texas, Florida, & North Carolina. This amendment keeps things fair & democratic everyone. Same-day registration available at polls. Vote YES! #VoteYesVirginia
CA is a rare exception. We grow crops humans can't eat - the crops we do use go to warehouse animals. Big Ag sucks up the bailout money.
Migrant worker shortages might be hard on CA this year - and fuel and fertilizer are through the roof.
We have needed to reform farming for decades. We're mainly growing crops humans can't eat.
But we might need to do something in the short term, because we don't have allies anymore who can help us if there's a famine.
I believe it would be beneficial to American if we were to take away the lifetime healthcare and pensions for elected representatives and made them find healthcare and benefits just like their constituents
We have created lifetime of benefits for a job that was not meant to be a career
Term limits!
I'm not sure what the long winter line means, but it's poetic.
Maybe American farmers could grow food that people can eat.
Now we are pumping fertilizer into the dirt to bring forth crops for warehouse animals.
I don't know what needs to happen, but farming has been unreasonable for many decades.
Is there anything you can think of that would allow the public to move this one out, that would have kept the last one in?
I only see clips of Fox, but one time I saw it on TV and here's what I heard - "Joe Biden is the greatest threat to America in US history!"
We need to reckon with this.
Make it make sense.
Cute!
Everyone in the administration is drunk on something: power, prestige, pennies, or Pabst.
You can send these fellows to AA - I hope they go - but what can you do with the rest?
Picture of a tractor and sprayer. Text says "Support Wisconsin Farmers"
Wisconsin farmers are being squeezed — and it’s not by accident.
Low crop prices. Rising costs. Trade wars. Global conflict.
This isn’t sustainable.
Our farmers deserve fair markets, smart trade policy, and real support.

Why have farmers been having these problems since the 1980s, though?
Isn't it time to try something new? It seems like almost 50 years of trouble ought to be a big enough red flag.
