Since Criterion released Godzilla vs. Biollante on 4k/Blu-ray, they should release the rest of the Heisei Godzilla films on Blu-ray. Now that Godzilla 84 and a few others were released on 4K, Criterion can do it.

After nearly 8 months, Discotek Media finally gets a release date for Kamen Rider Stronger on Blu-ray. It took really long to see this series to be released on Blu-ray here in the USA. It is set to be released on June 30th this year.

Was the Criterion Godzilla Blu-ray set that bad?
No, but years goes by, the discs goes inside the set. That's why I bought a Blu-ray disc case.
The rest of the Showa films weren't released on Blu-ray until part of the 60th anniversary of Godzilla in 2014.
Back in 2008, they broadcast most of the Godzilla films in HD from the Showa-Millenium era, then a year later they released them on Blu-ray. What Toho used was the cheap telecine source materials and put them on a early 90's pure Hi-Vision machine.

Man, this Toho classic sci-fi film is so good. The War In Space is basically a Star Wars ripoff, but it's so bad it's good. Teroyushi Nakano did a great job doing the special effects and Jun Fukuda did pretty well. I believe this film is basically in the same universe as the Showa Godzilla films.
They use stock music cues from The War In Space (1977) and Izenborg (1977). It was the only version of the film to be in high quality from the 35mm film print. Sadly, the Japanese version of the film is now lost for good and Yoram Gross no longer have the original negatives of the film.

The only lost version of Dot and the Kangaroo film was the Japanese version. Japanese version was distributed by Toho and Tsuburaya Productions in 1978. In this version, the music was altered by Toshiake Tsushima.

Once again, Toei is bringing the classic mecha series to HD Blu-ray. Combattler V, has finally getting a restored home media release in Japan. Though, Discotek Media unfortunately will not re-release Combattler V on Blu-ray due to license termination.
Originally, there was going to be a fourth season of Eckhart, planned to be broadcast in 2004, but only exclusively in Hong Kong and Taiwan. No longer produced by Canadian companies, the show would only produced by Animation Services. But, that was scrapped, unfortunately.
