She showed up as a mother of a trans youth, a faith leader and a Mama Dragon. Yesterday, our podcast host , Sara LaWall, was arrested at the Idaho Governors office for peacefully protesting anti-trans legislation being signed into law. This is what courage of conviction and an extension of faith is.

Voices: LDS policy places transgender individuals, and their families, in an impossible position “No parent should ever be asked to choose between their child and their faith,” writes Liz Welch in an op-ed. “And no child should ever be told that their belonging is conditional.”

The LDS Church issued a clarification on Transgender inclusion/ exclusion in spiritual practices. Basically, they want Transgender people to ‘detransition’ in order to be fully able to participate in them. As tomorrow is #TransgenderDayOfVisibility, it feels important to step forward as an ally
