Since Trump took office, Senate Democrats have wasted chances or refused to act decisively. The stakes keep climbing. The upcoming budget package is the next critical battle. We need to see bold, unapologetic leadership now. If you do not act forcefully, our democracy will continue to be hollowed out. Mass surveillance will become normalized, driven by secretive security agencies like ICE and CBP. The Department of Homeland Security is building databases that could soon restrict voting rights and freedom of movement. Free speech is under attack, with dissent silenced and the press evolving into propaganda. Even naturalized and birthright citizens risk losing rights based on race, religion, or origin.
