One. Term.
Make it mandatory in the schools. Teach the grown men too because many missed it.
KEYS TO THE GAME The 2026 EDSBS Charity Bowl will kick off (football term) on Monday morning, April 20, at 10 a.m. ET, with regular updates to follow on the New American Pathways Bluesky feed and Instagram grid. The game officially concludes on Friday evening, April 24 (although we have been known to extend the contest into the weekend in pursuit of stretch goals). The New AP Bluesky feed serves as trash talk central during Bowl week. Our team of volunteers will be camped out there for a minimum of 12 hours each day to deliver scoring updates and celebrate especially creative donations and dedications from coast to coast. Money Cannon is back! Thanks to some incredibly generous friends of the program, last year we launched MoneyCannon.org, where you can view the latest Charitibundi Bowl scoring updates, see where your team ranks in conference standings, and even create your own custom leaderboards to track. You can read more about how Money Cannon works at MoneyCannon.org/about. The Help Desk Dan is back! You can get answers to questions you can't find here, or flag any issues you run into, at our dedicated donor help desk, manned by local Atlanta hero JacketDan. You can reach him on Bluesky or by emailing dannewampathway@gmail.com. New this year: Concierge team assignment services! Don't have a college football team? Spencer Hall is here for you, neighbor. Tell him a little bit about yourself, and he'll assign you a college football rooting interest. You can reach him on Bluesky or by emailing harumphharumph@gmail.com. That's right: Spencer cares so much about this contest that he's agreed to read his own emails. Truly, we live in unprecedented times. Befinning Monday morning on, EDSBSCharityBowl.com will be your home for everything else: A portal to submit your actual donations, a running grand total display of all the money we've raised so far, and links where you can learn more about BOWL New AP and their work.
If you're not familiar with this: Every year, a college football podcast hosted by some of my friends runs a fundraiser for New American Pathways, a refugee resettlement org in Atlanta. The last two years, they've raised more than $1 million. This year, they wanna do $2 million. Starting today.
Checking in on today's college sports news and
Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen. She is standing the woods twirling an arrow between her fingers. I am analogizing sign ups for affordable Public summer camp with the hunger games except for the critical difference that no one is watching and no one cares.
In approximately one hour Chicago parents of school aged children will try to get their kids enrolled in summer camp in a needless spectacle of scarcity.
Well here's a connection between the Okefenokee Swamp, UGA, and Chicago that I never would have guessed in a million years.
No bus stop glass in Chicago will be safe when these robots start delivering burritos.

5) “To win, Dems must stop saying [jargon] all the time, normal people don’t talk that way.”
6) Repeat 1
I wonder if the news will update the description as investigators learn more. Emergency services use the term for response & reporting anytime more than 4 people are shot in a single incident.
Straight up “Parable of the Sower” shit
Anytime I see a post like that, I can't help but wonder if they really feel that way or they're getting paid for the engagement.
(Or if they were influenced by paid engagement.)

a map from 1918 showing the interurban network sprawling across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio
One side obsession from my research into the 1920s is the extensive network of ELECTRIC trains that used to connect cities and towns across the central Midwest called the Interurban. We had this more than a hundred years ago. The things we had and the things we lost.
My dad says it is going to be in the 90s tomorrow in Jacksonville & along the Georgia coast. Summer's gonna be tough for folks without AC.
This was absolutely one of the most striking things about moving from suburban Atlanta to Manhattan when I was in my 20s. I remember being back home for a visit and, like, struggling to articulate to my parents just how different—and how much better and friendlier—the world felt on foot.
🚨 Flash Flood Warning for Northern Cook & DuPage County! Heavy rain causing rapid flooding. Stay safe, avoid flooded roads. 🌧️🌊
Y'all gonna need to sit down a minute & long read this one all the way through the sad, sad ending.

Rather than treat Trump’s comments about Pope Leo as deranged, embarrassing and offensive to (many) Catholics, early headlines (and stories) paint it as Trump just bashing back against a political opponent. Truly broken media environment.
Is the Popa a Catholic? In this Ohio diner, they aren’t so sure.
We'll know for sure that the Pope is a registered Democrat if he hires 1000 new Swiss Guards and issues a series of tough-on-drugs edicts in response to the GOP criticism
uncap the house! so each individual seat isn’t so critical to control and we can just expel scumbags without worrying about flipping the chamber because we need their votes
holy shit he actually conceded
folks, they tell you they’re invincible
they tell you they’re inevitable
they tell you that you should give up and stop fighting
and absolutely none of that is true
